My wife loves to go there. It was like going to Filene's basement in Boston. Where girls went to buy a wedding dress on sale. You may have seed it on TV.
Tony
Accidently got caught up in one of those in the 1990s. I'd gone to Boston for a city break, and being from the UK had never heard of Filene's. Happened to go there one day just to shop and wondered why it resembled the opening day of the Harrods sale. Never seen such madness:D

Ohhhh let me know what the mattresses are like please!:D
Thanks seadog, also answers another question regards refit time in March, will be on her in May to the Med, so should have new mattress! -
Interesting thread to read. I am travelling with my 14 & 12 year old sons next year in Europe We live in the UK so our high school dress code is very strict, meaning they have to wear shirts, ties, trousers and blazers every day anyway. Luckily both boys love being smart so will want to go the whole hog if they can. As a family we are all looking forwards to the formal evenings, even my usually casual husband!

We stayed at the Montecarlo on our first visit to Barcelona and would have stayed there again. Unfortunately it is now closed.
I was going to recommend here as well. Did not realised they had closed. Such a shame, it was a wonderful hotel.

Im on the Island princess currently and posting patters as I get them to the Dropbox link below.
If there is any interest in the Shockwave kids club patters let me know. Our two kids are loving the programs here and have to be dragged back to the room each night.

Hiya, if you could post the kids programs, that would be brilliant. We are going on our first cruise next year, Sapphire Princess and I have two young men, one 12 one 14!
Edit, just seen you have, thank you so much.

yes, they do but i found Belfast & Dublin really hard to get around. We just got off the May 25th British Isles. The hop on hop off will be MUCh more $$$ in these ports than in London, where we spent the whole day seeing everything on the 'Grand Tour Hop on Hop Off. In Belfast & Dublin it could be pouring rain , as it was for us, which makes it even more frustrating. Don't waste money on the Belfast Titanic. Not worth it, even at a senior discount.
As a matter of interest, where do the ships dock for London visits? I live so close to London and haven't seen a cruise ship. Do you dock in Southampton and transfer? TIA.
You're right though, the hop on/off tour bus is definitely the best way to see London!!

Hi, sorry in advance because I am sure this question has been asked before.
We are taking our first ever cruise next July and am a little confused over the drinks packages.
How does the 15% gratuity work, is this added on to the daily price, or is 15% added on to each individual drink we order.
Many thanks in advance.

Well I intend to be the bag carrying, lanyard wearing, navigationally challenged, gaining lbs by the minute, newbie virgin next year, complete with my overpriced sail away cocktail and lots of ooooohhhs and haaaaas..just so I can give the old salts something to gossip about. After all, far worse than been talked about, is not been noticed at all. :'):'):hearteyes::*
