What I don't understand is that why are folks expecting cruises to be like home? When you leave home, you can't drag home with you.
Nor do I want to!! 🍹🌴

Finally, it's been a couple years, but here we are, back to normal! People complaining about straws! Horray! It's time to party like it's 2019! 🥳🎉
I'm waiting until a "is FTTF worth it" debate before I claim full victory over the pandemic. 😆

Thank You….its the 1st time I booked under this offer
By any chance do you know where I can see on my booking what code its booked with?
Apparently, you can't. I had the same question a few weeks ago. You can email the player's club to find out. Or ask your PVP if you used one.

Someone made that post up to get a rise out of people. It worked.
I'm convinced that at least half of the "questions" he posts are bogus outrages designed to do just this.

Do you mean viewing them in your cruise manager? You can manage additional bookings like so:

The e-muster process is now super easy, too. I've been happy with these two changes in particular.

Membership IS required to buy certain gift cards but Carnival and Princess are not among those requiring membership.
However, keep in mind that you must register in the “Rewards” program to purchase Carnival and Princess gift cards (and a lot of other cards). I did so and it opened up the option to purchase these gift cards.
Once registered, you will see that there are cards with a note attached that say “Membership Required”. This statement is NOT included on Carnival and Princess gift cards.
If you do not register for the Rewards program (NOT AARP membership) their system will not allow you to purchase anything.
Again, I purchased two $500 cards and I’m NOT a member of AARP and have no intention of ever doing so. I would explain why but I’d get my hand slapped.
I'm not saying your experience didn't happen, I promise. Only sharing my own! But I was signed up for that rewards program (and built up quite a number of points) and couldn't buy Carnival gift cards until I actually joined with a paid AARP membership. This was about a month ago. So I supposed the moral of the story that I would tell others is, try it without paying for a membership but don't be surprised if those cards aren't available. Because it looks like it could go either way!
Inconsistency drives me nuts (them, not you).

Yep! We would usually check in when we were ready to leave our room (for dinner, for example) and get the notification that our table was ready while we were on our way. Walk up, tell them the table number, get seated, enjoy!

Absolutely incorrect. One must register in the reward section to be able to access the gift cards but NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED..
Just yesterday I bought 2 - $500 cards and applied them to an existing booking. I am NOT an AARP member.
They weren't an option for me to purchase until I became a member. I could see them, but I couldn't add them to my cart.

Have to join AARP and they offer them for sale at a discount 10% off. Limited qtys available.
It was, I think, $12 for the year for me to join (or $16? I don't remember) so it's very easy to get that money back in gc savings. 😁 And I'm only 42 so I can't benefit from certain services, but I can join and get gift cards!!

The easiest thing to do is to buy a bottle from the online Fun Shops for the cabin. It is pricey but by the time you add up buying the containers and then buying the alcohol to put in them you aren't really saving much over the cost of the bottle and with buying the bottle you will know it's there. As I understand it liquor not in an original bottle is confiscated and destroyed, but you would also be called to the "naughty room" so they can open your bag in your presence. The thought of having to stand in a line wasting vacation time when I don't have to is what keeps me from even thinking about it.
I was not called to a naughty room. My suitcase was delivered in disarray with a note inside (minus my attempted contraband), but I was spared any further embarrassment. 🤡 Lessons learned that day!

Something a lot of people don't realize with this new system is you don't have to do the entire process just to get the boarding time.
Just go in and click on the "select boarding time" in the list of check in things, and then select your boarding time and click "next" and it saves it. You can go back and do all the rest of the check in stuff later when you have the time.
I have done it for all 4 of my cruises this year. I wake up sometime in the middle of the night (just excited to do it don't even need an alarm) and go log in, select my boarding time, click next and when I am in the next section and can see the completed check mark next to select boarding time, I log out and go back to bed. Then deal with the rest of it later in the day sometime.
Not all heroes wear capes.

Congrats on Diamond, and thanks for your teaching service!! I know a lot of parents suck these days, but there are plenty of us who truly do love and appreciate our teachers. ❤

There's a coffee bar that could take care of that, probably. I've not looked specifically for cold brew when I go there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they offer that, too. If push comes to shove, she could brew her own in the room.

And before anyone comes at me, yes, Carnival is a family line, I get it. But so is Disney, and from what I hear, they have a pretty decent adult only area on the ships. Just because a line is family-oriented doesn't mean a nice adult area wouldn't be appreciated, regardless of intended audience (or price!).
But wanting adult time means yOu HaTe KidS.

Since you mention being the custodial parent, you could probably just bring a copy of your custody agreement and be fine.
-
The only time I've ever been through a time change on the ship was when we sailed out of Long Beach. Never when we've sailed from Galveston regardless of destination. (all Carnival sailings except for one on Royal, all Caribbean or Bahamas)

I was thinking that too but it says it has to be done withing 48 hours of booking!
If you missed it somehow (but I don't think you did), they would have let you know by now via email. Trust and believe that they know how to send emails. Looooooots of emails. 😆 (I get annoyed at how many emails they send me reminding me to use the booking manager that I already log into daily...)

If I had to guess, it's exactly what shof515 is speculating since I'm seeing the same thing. I have a cruise in September that I had to fill it out for and another in December 2023 that hasn't asked (and there are different people sailing so I don't think it's a matter of the answers carrying over).

I had an offer earlier this month for an Alaska sailing for $25pp if I could make my way to Seattle and sail about a week after seeing the offer. I had legit sadz because I couldn't just up and cruise for a week, also due to a job I like/need too much.

Once it returns, what will be the price? $79.00, $99.00, or 129.00?
Excellent (and scary) question.

Thanks for this. We're sailing again on the Breeze in September. Were you one of the ones who used VeriFly? I'm probably going to download it unless I hear of something terrible.
