We were only ship as well, apprx 3200 pax. I think they can only accommodate 1 per day. We arrived in port 8a,  took our time and taxi to resort, $15, about 12-14 minute ride. Arrived 944a, two adults, no problem.  Though sign was already posted that they were sold out of kid's passes for the day.   I think they consider and count the kids staying on property aa well and limit the total #.  Next visit, we would plan to arrive sooner if possible, their office opens 8a local time.

We did not snorkel though several were out doing so. I believe you'll need your own equipment but can contact office prior, they were very responsive leading up to our visit.  They do have an onsight dive shop there but I know nothing about it.

The resort is not fancy but it is nice, quiet, relaxing and has all that we needed.  $25 pass gets you in and includes $10 bar/restaurant credit..which was one drink each and tasty at that. Hope this helps, enjoy!

This is a great video recently posted...

What time did you arrive at the resort?  We are concerned about them selling out of day passes.  We are the only ship in port that day so hoping as long as we can be quick off the boat we should be ok.  Do you know if they sold out on the day of your visit?

Did you snorkel?  Hoping there is good snorkeling near by!

  4. Question...will Royal allow us to bring travel fan onboard, apprx 7" square. It's been a few years since our last Royal sailing so wanted to inquire if still okay, we'll be on Adventure in a few weeks.  That little fan has sailed all over with various lines, never any issues until a recent sailing on Celebrity whereas it was confiscated at embarkation. Had sailed on Celebrity in the past but apparently rules have changed. TIA!

  5. At Chogogo last week..👍👍. Would definitely return and also consider a land stay. The resort is great..super friendly staff, great pool, lazy river, bar, restaurant, facilities, plenty of chairs, shade, very peaceful.  Just know the beaches are rocky, the water crystal clear.  Take your own beach towels or from the ship. You might also take a hand towel from ship to wipe the loungers...birds hangout and leave behind evidence 😃.    Best $25 can spend.     Recently planted more palms, this place is nice and 3-5 years will be exciting.  Enjoy!

@hcat definitely check it out, too much information to repeat and it's not my story to tell, but I can direct you there.   Lots of first hand accounts, many direct quotes from the captain's various addresses.  Some of the flooding appears to have been significant depending upon your deck and cabin location on that deck, the toilets being closed down, etc - many eye witness accounts.

what would be the source of the story? TIA

Are you buying the plan or the upgrade.  To buy the upgrade that's being offered you have  to have the basic plan first.

I currently have the premium one device plan

  8. ok, I currently have the one device plan reserved. I purchased the two device upgrade plan. Then went back to cancel the one device plan but get a pop up msg indicating I have to cancel the two device upgrade plan first before I can cancel the one device plan.   So I did that, cancelled both then thought I could go back and repurchase the two device plan. It now tells it's me not available.

What am I doing wrong or not understanding here? lol.

    Apologies...yes.

Thank you.  It's been a few years since we've sailed X, so wasn't sure. Though recently I have been told "no", they couldn't be connected at the same time. Appreciate the info. Enjoy

Not if you only have a "1 device" plan

no, no...If I (one pax) have the two device plan, can each device be logged on at the same time?

Just to clarify a bit as to what @keesar is saying...you will both use the same set of login credentials on each device.  There is no distinction that either the devices are not really being used by the same person.  It's not "cheating"...they are fully aware of this...not a problem.

But can you be logged in at the same time on each device? Thus by utilizing the wi-fi simultaneously on 2 different devices. TIA, Enjoy

  12. We plan to take a taxi to Chogogo on our cruise stop. In the afternoon, is the return back to the ship walkable?  It appears to be about a 35-45 minute walk along the beach and then along a roadway. Or, would we be better suited to take a taxi back? TIA.

  13. Go back to med center, they promised the report. Though this is gross, disgusting, alarming to most, he'll likely be fine given he showered, eye wash etc.  Not making light of the situation, and certainly seems like it could have been handled better. Find an officer within the hotel staff.

This is also a good example as to why plumbers cost what they do, they earn it. Best of luck.

I realize my husband will just board at my boarding time no matter what time he receives. It’s just the absurdity of checking in separately on 2 different dates when we have the same booking number and are in the same stateroom.

First world problem, lol. With 58 cruises under your belt, your problem aware that technology isn't perfect. And you already know that he'll just check in with you. Enjoy.

I don't choose based on vacations or anything based on loyalty programs.  All of them are so watered down at this point its not worth it.  If one does based solely on loyalty programs, to me, not to others probably, it is a foolish way to pick travel.

Agree and do same. Most have little to no value to us as well.  Sad part, many of the so called perks can be bought by a first time cruiser if they're willing to pay.

For many, its become a status symbol for bragging rights. Enjoy

    - Yes, $14.99 per person, doesn't matter age

    - No, no breakfast on Adventure. It's only on Oasis-class ships that JR does breakfast.

    - You can just walk in and go to the area of the counter labeled "Shake" and they'll do your shake order. I think there may even be a window from the outside, but I always just go in.

Thanks Cactus...what's the charge if one only wants a shake?

  17. Will be on Adventure later this year. I understand JR is still on onboard her. Do I understand correctly..

    - JR is $14.9pp (same for child or adult)?

    - breakfast is no extra charge?

    - what if you only want a milkshake?

    TIA. Enjoy.

TT..we plan to take the bus from main terminal to Eagle. Does the bus stop at Eagle as it heads north towards Palm, OR, do we have to do the loop to the north and then hop off as the bus is heading back south towards town?

Also, in doing so either way, when we do need to jump off, will the bus stop be on the beach road or back out on the main hwy?   TIA. Enjoy!

EDIT...I do see that the bus route runs along the beach road, though do correct me if I'm wrong.   I believe it would be the L10a bus

She can take a taxi. It sounded like she was traveling with Family. I always take the bus because it's cheap no stress and plenty of room. No crawling into the back of a 4 wheeled sardine can. City bus big seats many empty plenty of room to set your backpack down on. Very open no hurry. City Bus for me every time. 😎😎

  20. Kudos to JoeBucks...I feel this is a fair review/opinion and agree with most of your thoughts.  We sail all of the lines, currently have future sailings booked on 4 different lines. For us, we book for various reasons...the itinerary, the ship, the cost, whom we're sailing with, etc.    Cruising is just like anything else, they all have their cheerleaders and critics. Many don't even compare similar ships...even within the same fleet. Thanks for posting, Enjoy!
