  1.  On the Royal last fall there was a specific time listed in the Patter when you could go to the atrium and sign up for the escape room. There was a pretty big crowd of people there to sign up and I think only about 30 to 40 people could do it.  It was fun and I hope Princess keeps it too.

  2.  My TA was not successful in getting my two cruises transferred when she first tried. She told me to call Princess and Princess turned me down. I asked to speak with a supervisor in customer relations. That person asked who I wanted to transfer the bookings to. Then she told me she would make an exception because it was a travel agent I had booked through before. She emailed me the transforms which I had to fill out and sign before the transfer could be completed. I emailed them back that night and the bookings were transferred by noon the next day.

I got an email from my TA who said that Princess is making one time exceptions til Dec 31.

I got the same email. Before I got the email I had already transferred 2 cruises booked almost a year ago. The customer relations person at Princess that I spoke with said she was making the exception because I was transferring them to an agent I had dealt with before. The impression I got was that it would not have been allowed if it wasn’t an agent that I had already booked a cruise with in the past.

True, Shmoo.  But we have disembarked at MANY different ports on DCL, and they do follow the Port Canaveral procedures as far as possible.  Barcelona, Dover, San Juan, and probably others followed the PC procedures re luggage totally.

    What about disembarking in Miam?

And thanks to everyone for all the information.

  5.  I am looking at annual plan insurance mainly for medical coverage since Medicare doesn’t cover anyone outside of the US. I’ve narrowed it down to Allianz Executive Plan which includes $50,000 in medical coverage and $250.000. Medical evacuations. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with Allianz and their annual plans, specifically with their medical coverage. The one I’m looking at includes $5000.00 trip cancellation which would be nice but the medical is the most important.

Any suggestions of other plans would also be appreciated.

I am in AZ and it shows the new webpage. Hate it so far, very slow and balky.

Every change they have made lately has messed up the personalizer. We booked a window suite under the sip and sail promotion and although all the perks showed up initially now the beverage package is missing, and the free gratuities. I called them and they said they could see them. Not sure what we will have when we get on-board..... Today I was in the personalizer looking at excursions. The website locked up. When I logged back in now my booking is gone! Hopefully it will be back later.

Agree that the old website was easy to navigate and much better than other cruise lines. I will never understand the need to monkey with things that work!

I had the same thing happened. My free gratuities disappeared on the Personalizer. I called Princess and they told me to look on the Travel Summary. I did and it was there. It adds a step that you have to go through but look there and yours should be listed also.

  9. I read recently that on a Disney cruise a child can only disembark the ship in the company of the person whose room they are in. Just want to check because we have a grandchild sharing the room with her grandmother who probably will not leave the ship in every port. Will the child have any problem leaving the ship with her parents?

Thanks...has your 20% credit of your cruise fare been issued in your Captain’s Circle account?

Yes, the 20% of the cruise fare for the transAtlantic Cruise was on my account within a couple of days of arriving home. I had another cruise booked that I wanted applied to. But when I called Princess the first person I talked to said it was good only for new bookings. I told her I had still the captains letter telling us it was good for any booking   so she put me on hold to talk to someone. She came back and said it would be applied to the booking I wanted it applied to and when I checked Personalizer it was there.

  11. We will be on the Disney Magic in the spring. Could anyone tell me what Disney disembarkation is like? If there is anyone here who has been through Princess disembarkation how would you compare the two. We would like to be off the ship early but we are renting a car and driving to Walt Disney World so we do not have early flights. On Princess the people off the ship first are either those who can walk off with all of their luggage or people with early flights. We don’t really fit in either category so we’re just wondering how long it will take to get off the ship.

I don’t not know if this is what people are looking for but after a lot of frustration I found a way to get to my subscribed threads and roll calls and to easily see any new posts for each. I used to click on my CC name and my subscribed threads would show up but now if I do that I can’t tell what’s new and what isn’t. So…

At the top of the page you should see Forums, Gallery, and Activity. Click on “Activity.“ Then click on “My Activity Streams.” If you are looking for threads you have subscribed to click on “Content I Follow.” That should bring up any threads you were subscribed to before the change. Every new post is listed separately which seems like a waste of space but at least you can find anything that has been added since the last time you looked at the thread. I don’t know if this is what people are looking for but I hope it helps.

  13. I have more questions and will probably have more as time goes on since we booked the Disney cruise today.

Our travel agent confirmed us for early dining and said it is hard to get and we were lucky to get it. I have never liked early dining. Is there any benefit to it? I have heard that the evening shows are very good on Disney so we want to be able to work around that. Also the youngest person in our party is 11 so there are no small children involved.

    Does Disney offer trip insurance?

Does Disney give stockholder credit the way Carnival cruise lines do?

  14. “3. Not sure what the "680 area" is.“

Thanks to the above people for their replies. I guess I had a typo in my original post. By 680 area I meant an area of cabins numbered 6080, 6081, 6082, 6083 all on deck six. We’re just concerned about any live loud areas that might be below that those cabins.
