I'm new to Celebrity. Most of my experience is with Disney who I believed to have possibly the worst IT department and web site developers. It turned out I was wrong because Celebrity has a site that I swear missed any sort of user interface training, is not tweaked when needed and does seem to make booking things almost impossible most of the time. I'm looking forward to my cruise, but I don't dare book anything.

;p
Here is the thread mentioned. See post #10 for pictures. Bathroom are the same in all non-suite cabins. EMAwesome...more than enough space. When we travel, I toss everything in flat Tupperware containers and have one for essentials and one for those things we might need. Can definitely stash those under the vanity and essentials on the shelves!

On the Summit, what sort of "storage" exists in the bathroom? (ocean view on deck 6.)

If you cruised on "Celebrity Infinity" returning on July 9th - here is how it looked passing under the Lions Gate Bridge...
We were on a DCL Alaskan cruise last summer and stayed at the Pan Pacific so I watch the ship come in that morning. This view, however, really shows the magnitude of the ship compared to the bridge! So cool!

It's $20 per day for parking. They have 5, 7, 9, and even more day cruises leaving Bayonne/Cape Liberty. One just needs to do the math to figure out how much the parking is going to be. :)
As a math teacher, I can definitely do the math. :) It was more how the "day" was calculated. That makes the difference in this case.

We have used the garage 3 times and will again on Sunday. We have always paid whatever the per day price was x7.
This year the cost is $20 a day so we expect the parking fee to be $140 for our 7 night cruise.

Thank you so much. This is what I was looking for.

I still don't understand. Even if it's calculated from 00:01 to 24:00 or 24 per elapsed periods....the most difference upon exit would be $20.
If the budget is that tight, then this person may want to reconsider his/her travel plan.
The friend and her two kids are essentially going for free (my mom is paying for them.) The friend will need to pay for a few things, such as parking and did her the $20 makes a difference so I said I would check. As a rule, I agree...I'd never travel if my budget was that tight but this is different.

They have a fairly new parking garage right next to the terminal, and it's $20 a day.
That is consistent with what I read online. It doesn't matter to me how the "days" are determined, but it does for one of our travel companions in terms of budgeting for the trip.

Is parking per day (sun, mon, tue) or 24 hours (sun-mon)???

Hot tub folliculitis. Essentially the result of bacteria in the hair follicles. You won't necessarily find others who have the same reaction as some ppl will respond differently, the degree of exposure is likely different, etc. This is not uncommon in public pools/hot tubs/etc. Showering immediately after use may help reduce exposure in the future.

We have an 8.5 yo will anxiety and he went on his first cruise last year. He claims its his favorite vacation (and we travel a lot.) His favorite place was the stateroom (and this was a DCL cruise so very family/kid friendly.) We did everything could to get him into the kids club -- bribes, threats, etc. We are on the Summit in a few weeks and while we will want him to check out the club and perhaps spend some time there, we are also going to try to be understanding about the fact that his idea vacation is eating cereal in the stateroom. I like to lounge by the pool and my husband hates that. He likes to watch movies and I'd rather do anything and our oldest is a social butterfly all over the ship...everyone's idea of a good vaca is different. I'd specifically have an "exit" plan from everything you do -- who is going to take him, where, how long, etc. Food with anxious kids can be tough so just plan ahead!
-
It's definitely crazy, but I suppose they've done the research and ppl will book. We were on DCL last summer in Alaska and the week we went the most expensive sweet was a cool 40k.

On the Summit in Aug in an OV room. Can I store small luggage anywhere -- under bed/closet/etc?

Definitely the child should be encouraged to try new foods and not to stick to Mac & Cheese or fish sticks.
Our daughter was a picky eater at home but was very adventurous in food on cruises. She scoffed at the kids menu and enjoyed the escargot, frog legs, and other things like that.
She is now a chef in Maine and people love her creations.
I totally agree. Our oldest loves cruises for the experimentation and she's got a pretty diversely developed palette at this point. The youngest has anxiety which carries over to food in some cases...he actually eats less standard kid food. Hates pasta, has limited interest in bread, doesn't love burgers/hot dogs, etc. Is just beginning to develop a tolerance for my homemade mac and cheese, but no others. Because of a lifelong issue for him with hypoglycemia I have to proactively ensure he eats. I do agree 100% with trying food, which he will do.

:odoes anyone have the MDR kids menu for the Summit? Going in a few weeks and have one anxious kid who has just started to really eat at restaurants. On Disney last year he survived on cereal as their kids meals were awful but the adult stuff not his taste either.

Yikes! If I'm asleep on the martini bar, we've got bigger problems than the drink package. But, we like lattes in the morning, water, couple of drinks, etc. Sounds as if we should be all set!
-
Great! We got the premium so we wouldn't be limited (although I realize there are some $ limits) but wanted to make sure it made sense given what I had heard. Thank you for the clarification.
-
I heard that a friend of a friend was basically "cut off" because they exceeded the per drink limit. I also read something in a post today where someone said they use their wife's card (she doesn't drink but included package) at times.
-
I have read a few things that seem to indicate a cap on the drink packages/day. How does this work? What are the guidelines?
-
If you get a chance, can you snap a picture of the kids menu in the MDR? Does it change daily? I know it's just adults for you, but if you notice it I'd very much appreciate it!

From what I've read, if you have a wifi package, you should be able to iMessage, use what's app, etc. I'm hopeful this is true. While it would be nice to have an app, the IT department should focus on a workable web site to facilitate sales/bookings/etc.

Really enjoying your reporting. Seems genuine and sarcastic -- totally me! We live in New England so I'm with you on Newport and Boston as ports. :). We will be on the Summit with tweens (and 2 8yos) in a few weeks so I'm glad (sorry) there are teens on board who seem to have things to do.
-
Looking forward to hearing what you think. We are 40 somethings (with kids) and are traveling (with them) on Aug 6! Can't wait.

Cruising on the Summit in a few weeks and our youngest has some anxiety issues. He likes to spend some time in the stateroom to get "away." What are we looking at for tv/movie options?

In the kids club for kids 11 and under (on the Summit) do kids get wristbands? What is the check in/out procedure.
