  1. For crying out loud, call 'em and book it. Life is short.:)

That would be great if I didn't have 2 kids in college and twins in High School that play football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, orchestra, Jazz band and Marching Band.

But if you're treating  I would love to take you up on it :)

  2. Take along a bunch of the flameless candles! They're battery powered, so no fire safety issues. Buy the ones that flicker like real candle light. Women usually think they look better by candlelight! ;) They're tiny and you'll be able to hide them easily in your suitcase. She'll be impressed that you had forethought to make everything special! Happy Anniversary!:)

I love this idea! We are celebrating our 20th as well in a couple of weeks on the Grand. I am bringing these for sure :)

  3. Anyone ever get an upgrade after booking a specific cabin, if so, did you take the upgrade or keep the cabin you had requested?

    Doug

We were upgraded twice before our cruise on April 6th. Once from the lowest balcony to a better balcony and then to a mini suite! Most suites are still available on our cruise in 22 days. Hoping for one last upgrade!!! It is our 20th anniversary :)

  4. I was hoping that the update would let you prebook drinks packages online but that still doesn't seem to be the case. I don't understand why it has to be over the phone or by fax.

I agree with this totally! I would order if I could order online :)

Also the prices went up on the gifts order form. The renewal of vows was $219.99 and now it is $225.99.

  5. We are a family of four that travel in quad inside cabins - we make it work.

This photo was taken on a Carnival ship about 4 years ago, but we still use the same premise:

    - put the bottom twins together into a queen and push them towards the wall (preferably the wall closer to the television)

    - put the nightstands next to them

    - pull the top bunk down for one child

    - use a pack-n-play for a toddler, or use the mattress from the other bunk for the second child. Have it on the floor, under the bunk bed, and slide it under the Queen bed when not in use. If you ask your cabin steward, they might have a smaller mattress you can use for the second child.

We will be doing this next month, and our kids will be 8 and 4. I don't know how long we'll be able to get away with it (when they are 11 and 14, I don't know if we'll all fit... but we'll try!)

Sure it can be a bit crowded, but this way you can still have a queen bed and you won't hit your head if you sit up. I take the side next to the kids, and my husband likes the side next to the wall - he finds it cooler. We aren't in the cabin all that much, so it works for us! Princess has some good wardrobe space too, so you can get lots of your stuff away from the bed area - get some organisation systems in place, and you can make due with a small space.

    Good luck! :D

What a great picture! I love it. Our family would make it work like that too!

  6. We have always wanted to try an aft balcony. We were recently upgraded to a mini suite on our Pacific Coastal cruise. There is one aft balcony left E730 on Grand. Would you try and move over to that last aft balcony? Or stay with the mini suite on Dolphin deck?
