  1. On a slightly off topic, we were in Cozumel, and the horn was blowing last call. A couple of runners tore down the dock. But then the funny thing, a group of shore folks have a wheel chair with a dude passed out slobber knocker drunk in it. They rolled him right up to the ship, and then the crew had to get him to stagger on board as the gangplank came up. He doesn't even know how close he came to being left.

  2. We sailed the Fantasy out of Mobile last Dec. We don't drink, smoke, or party. A 4 day hop to Cozumel and back was very fun and relaxing. We also live in North Alabama, so we can leave the house at 6 and be on the boat for lunch. Same getting home. The crowd on a short trip like that is fun if you are people watchers like us. We will be going again soon. It is just to easy and inexpensive not to go. As for excursions in Cozumel, we have both done them and just did the walk around think at the tourist mall. Both are fun. Go. Don't analyze it. Just go.

  3. I wonder what will happen for the next cruise?

From an engineering point of view, they most likely already know the problem, have the faulty engine broken down, and parts on the way to NOLA. Then they can go thru normal turn around, and start fixing the ship, loading, and head back down the river slowly until fixed. Worst case, they drop one or two the 3 stops next week.

  4. I was on the Fantasy last Dec.

    1. If it's cold outside, it's cold inside. the rooms have no heat. That is just a Dec/Jan issue. Muster drill was very cold.

2.Smokey smells around the casino and bar. But that is where the best live music is there you go.

    3. Parking in Mobile was straight forward, but the little pay kiosks were off putting.

    4. Food: oh my. Throw the diet out the door. Guy's was great burgers, but the fries are even better.

    5. Returning to Mobile, the fog was so thick you couldn't see the water from deck. they couldn't get the gangway mounted proper so we sat around an extra hour or more until getting off the boat. Again, the parking lot cleared out fast.

    6. Will I go again? Heck yes.

  5. Here goes my first post: We cruised on Fantasy out of Mobile last year on Dec 9. On the last night, everyone gathered in the Atrium to sing Christmas songs. The floor was packed. The balconies all the way up were packed. It was great. Also at the top they had several snow machines adding the feel. Funny note: one of the machines was malfunctioning and dropping great plate size globs of snow stuff down into the floor crowd, and they loved it.
