It would be great if we could swap the supposed-free booze for the coffee package. Who drinks $110 of booze a day? Is there really anybody paying that much who didn't get it "free" with a package? The 20% gratuity fee alone costs more than I've ever spent on booze in a month, let alone a week. The coffee is listed as $12.95. If the booze truly costs $110, you think they would have no problem exchanging the two.
Very true, I'd at least like to be given the choice of the cooffee package instead of the alcohol package.

^^^this. I've been on six AK cruises, and had a great time on every single one. IIRC, two in April, two in May, one in September and one in October.
OP asks for "fair weather," which doesn't necessarily mean "warmest weather." That likely makes it a crap shoot.
We will be cruising the 3rd week of September. Any guesstimate on weather at that point? Thanks

No kidding! 🙄 Not everyone gets the CBP or the PBP. @bluecruisin ask a simple question and I provided an equally simple answer.
Thanks for your help!

when will you be in Alaska and what is your home environment like? what are you use to?
We live in NC, very hot and humid (90s)in the summer and not very cold in winter. Never usually reaches below 30's. I generally run hot.

Thanks so much for all the help! Maybe I should give some more info and preferences. I much prefer dresses over pants , shorts or capris. But will bring a couple pairs of jeans and capris. Layers are a great idea and will just bring one combo rain proof windbreaker. Should I also bring a sweatshirt to wear alone or under jacket if colder? Any additional help and answers will be appreciated!

I would bring one just in case. As @lovecruzin said, some sailings still require vaccinations as well as testing.
