I have to admit I like wearing shorts and when I say shorts I mean smart dress shorts not the sports type. I find wearing shorts very comfortable and relaxing. I do not see how me wearing shorts would have any effect on anyone at all on the ship. I have had this before in many places where women are allowed to wear very short skirts but men have to wear full trousers where is the balance there ? Discrimination that's what it is but us men are to laid back to do anything about it we just go and get changed lol

Is there a way of finding out this information or is it not released how long captains are on there ships. Same as cruise entertainment directors would be nice to know as there are some certainly better than others. We were on Equinox in April and the captain was poor, very little interaction and even his announcements were very poor no enthusiasum at all. Never seen him the full cruise either.

This is discussed on every forum. I could not care less what other people wear and i'm not sure what it says about a person who is bothered about someone else's clothing. Surely behavior is much more important of an issue. Your all on holiday go and enjoy it and if someone is wearing shorts or a t shirt that upsets you I think thats more of a problem to actually question yourself. I did enjoy noticing the people who really dressed up but peolpe in shorts on the other hand did look much more comfortable to me and they were just as well behaved. Chill out relax and enjoy your holiday.

This is debated on every cruise i think about what you can and can not wear in the restaurants. Now i could not care less what anyone wears to go to the restaurants and I do not understand why it bothers anyone at all. Everyone is on holiday let people just enjoy themselfs. Behaviour is more important that what someone wears.
