  1. My brother and sister in law got back from Miami (11 day Panama cruise) on the 16th, they both got "random" tested at Pearson and told to isolate until they got a negative result - and them promptly got put on their connection to Calgaryย ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

    Good thing they are both retired, he got his results on the 20th (4 days), she did not get hers till the 22nd (6 days!) - both negative.

    Good thing they are both negative because what would they do if they came back positive - declare everyone else on their connection flight as close contacts???

    Actually completed this with Miami hotel address and just my regular (Telus) mobile - it took it fine for me - barcodes are now saved on our phones along with vax qr codes and id ๐Ÿ™‚

    Guessing as long as it is in the 001 (+1) country code, you should be goodย ๐Ÿ‘

    Oh, another point - they will text you a link for your results so if you use the same number for you and your travelling companions, you will only have to be "roaming" on 1 phone if that is a concern for you.

    We had the same thing on our Encore trip out of Seattle, used the address of the hotel we stayed at for Eurofins registration and had no problems (was actually 1st result out!) but that was not CVS so, just wondering if any other non US residents have done this with CVS.

    I would rather get this all looked after before we arrive at the pier ๐Ÿ™‚

    Very good point, sometimes you will find a box for the in flight entertainment under the seat which would prevent a roller going there.

    Seat Guru is a great resource for checking out specific seats for under seat storage, seats that don't recline, etc.

    Thanks, I was aware of that but just thought it showed a price before.

    Not going to waste a SDC on that when I can dine at le Bistro or Cagney's ๐Ÿ™‚, would charge it on our account if we do try it.

    I can select it, select a date and time and party size so guessing it is not closed due to the "c" word I will not mention but...?

  8. Were originally booked in 11336 so what, 10 cabins from fully aft, got moved to between the elevator banks still on deck 11.

    Was quite surprised to get this, we did not request or pay for it.

    At first we were worried they had bumped us to a higher category, but not really better cabin (worse location or something) but was pleasantly surprised ๐Ÿ™‚

    As long as we actually get to cruise, I would have been happy either way!

  9. Thanks for posting this, I see that they have also extended the pre boarding tests (at no extra charge) to the end of February again.

    Going to have to monitor this closely, we don't sail until 12 February, and I expect things will continue to evolve...

    Any idea if NCL uses CVS or Eurofins in Miami?

    I cannot imagine how many people were showing up at the pier with missing / incorrect documents because something had changed in the 3 months since they filled out their online check in, and they just printed their edocs and headed for the airport. And we all know how fast things can change these days:)

    Don't wait too long to get it straighten out - and have a paper trail (documents) to back it up !

    My experience is NCL is not user friendly in this respect !

    Roger that, this was from our September 2021 cruise to Alaska so that won't be an issue, and I still have all the emails from that cruise so not too concerned ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. Lol, I didn't have to ask - this past week got an email out of the blue letting us know that we had been upgraded to a club balcony from a standard balcony.

    Checked and it is actually a much better location for us, closer to midships on deck 11 where the original cabin was about 10 doors from the extreme aft on deck 11.

    No explanation of why, and we didn't bid on anything? Wonder if this is happening to anyone else...

    Hope we get the extra perks as well ๐Ÿ™‚

    NCL sends me a Latitudes Rewards email, "Extra 2 points on select cruises in 2022, book by the end of February".

    "Great", I think - we are looking at booking something in the Med this coming fall, grabbing some extra loyalty points would be a bonus๐Ÿ‘

    Follow the link in the email, and there are exactly ZERO cruises available. Nada. Zilch.

    "Maybe other destinations are available", I think...guess I thought wrong on that as wellโ˜น๏ธ

    Don't know if it's a website glitch but If NCL wants to sell me something, the least they can do is actually have it available for sale ๐Ÿ˜ž
