obviously when you book during hurricane season you are taking that extra risk. we saw huge impacts last month and im just curious who is folliwng and where the best place to track potential new threats for the upcoming weeks
-
Will being in one of these categories affect check in? Meaning, will it allow us to check in early? Board early to avoid all lines? Receive luggage early?
comfortable waiting room ? ( i will have two young kids )
not trying to sound entitled, we are fine with whatever the answer is. Just trying to plan
-
Can these be requested once boarded or should they be requested ahead of time.
Anthem if it matters
-
Cabins that hold that many can only be booked by calling directly. The suites are extremely expensive.

not necessarily. put 4 in a balcony room and then 2 in another balcony room and it was more than a suite that i booked.

im not sure if its offered on the ships you mention, sorry. but ROYAL FAMILY SUITE sleeps i believe 8 and has a balcony

Hi
my son is new to school and thus new to drop off programs but i think he would enjoy some time in the kids program Ive read about on the Anthem.
does anyone know if it can be at his leisure? Meaning, can I drop him off with intentions of say 3hrs, but if he does not want to stay after 1hr, they contact me?
he does not have to use this service, its more of something i think he would have fun with so i dont want him to feel trapped if that makes sense

I am not positive since i sail in a few weeks, but I have the Royal IQ app which I believe offers some if not all that you mentioned.

OP
i didn't know this existed and just submitted a few referrals. Thanks for the heads up!

roller skating minimum is a kids size 10 skate
wow that seems restrictive to id say >8
i assumed as long as accompanied by guardian younger kids would be fine... def dissapointing
-
about 4-5 years since my last cruise so bear with me.
if my ship (anthem) has an outdoor screen, will they use it for movies? i seem to remember one on my last cruise but never saw it on...i could be losing it though... actually very likely
-
it has been a few years since we last cruised Oasis and even longer when we did Carnival and NCL.
drinks... what is included? im talking non alcoholic.
we are discussing the drink package that is more than soda. it states it included coffee juices and bottled wated
are the the dispenser machines for juices in the WJ? does this offer water as well? obviously bottle water is different than water from a spout but.."if we do not buy the package, do we have to pay for every liquid we drink"
apologies in advance for the question if it is stupid

La Patisserie sells "specialty" coffees, plus baked goods. It's on Deck 4 in the Royal Esplanade. Directly across are Sorrentos and Cafe Promenade, where the food has no charge and there are "regular" coffees.
do you pay for La Patisserie goods? i assume yes?
-
my husband loves coffee. i know its all personal taste but where did you find the best coffee onboard or is it all similar?
are there any specialty shops? not particularly a starbucks, but someone place that offers something different. maybe the pastry area etc?

Oh Boy! ROLLER skating and ICE skating are two different things!
correct they are
and ive seen MANY places not just my own threads where people state that skating of any kind is not offered.
for example, a FB group I am in has someone on the ship now stating there is no skating for their cruise.
I am turning here since the replies on CC have been super helpful in the past

funny. i am on the same itinerary with 4 and 20 month and saw that disclaimer as well. it does say that only one person from your trip books so im not sure if its really a "real" issue.
as for other excursions with age restrictions I had a super hard time getting booked. over an hour with excursion dept with an answer i wasnt satisfied with so...
that being said, its your call. book under your name and take your kids and hope no one stops you, or call and see if its just a disclaimer and you can book regardless so you know youre in the clear.
let me know what you decide/find out

Yes. Both are nice ships. Anthem is maybe 3 years newer. Breakaway's inaugural season was 2013. Anthem's was fall 2015 I think.
Breakaway more is a la carte. You cannot bring any of your own beverages on board.
Breakaway has waterslides and ropes course. Anthem has NorthStar, iFly, bumper cars, and Flowrider.
Food is good on both. Entertainment good on both. Cabins similar. Balconies MUCH larger on Anthem even in regular balcony cabin categories. Breakaway balconies are very shallow unless a B1, B6 or M6.
You know that Norwegian Escape is coming in the spring, right? Newer and larger than Breakaway--probably comparable in size to Anthem. A friend just came back from Escape and said it was fabulous.
While others' opinions are interesting, I've found it best to cruise all of these myself.
thank you

You asked in other threads if there was skating and were told no because people assumed ice skating. This thread you specified roller skating.
ive been told know on other chat boards as well. i trust CC members better

Has anyone ever sailed both? with kids?
any insight is appreciated.
-
ive seen that but a lot of people are saying its not offered on board.
and they show and list mini golf which i know is not offered

everyone or just those that look "suspect"

room already booked. 2 people in a JS.
if someone was newly free to join the cruise, would they be allowed to join the already purchased room? or would they have to book a new room for themselves?

just a few questions. I see in my planner that drink prices are discounted if a i buy a package now. I do the math and its basically $66 a day for the alcohol pkg since the 7th we arrive early AM. no issue.... but will it ever drop lower than this?
i see prices a la cart for drinks ranger from say $7-$13. are all of these covered in the above mentioned pkg or only up to a certain amount
if we purchase a pkg and can prove, whats the chance we can get more than one beer at a time at night to return to our suite and enjoy a couple of drinks on our balcony without having to get up and go get more
lastly, does anyone know the specific age and or height requirements for the activities such as bumper cars and skating?
i believe iFLY posted their weight requirements and im quite round and afraid id even be questioned as to my weight. i get the rules exists and do not think people should partake if do not fall in the safe category but are people ever challenged?
chiller vs fridge

ive seen few posts talk about the "fridge" being more of a cooler/chiller.
im just curious if this is on all ships and all rooms?
we are in a royal family suite and have a young child and im trying to see what can be kept in the "fridge"
