  1. The little extras inside our room And if you are driving to the hotel there is guest parking
  2. Like Heartfelttraveler we were up a floor and the staff will carry your bags up if needed as there is no lift/elevator. Our room is listed as a "Superior Room' on their website which is where I booked it. The view from our room. Below is the outside dining area which was wonderful when we were there. The claw foot bath tub was my dream and this rain shower was my husband's.
  3. I have only just noticed that thanks to the closing of TinyPic all of the photos I had posted in my British Isles cruise review have disappeared. I am going to share my Pig in the Wall pics again so that I can share our wonderful experience here. Outside of the hotel and the inside public space The herbs used to fix the tasty food Don't forget to click on the pic if your want the full sized image.
  4. I love the pic, we totally missed that when we were there. I’m sorry to here of the injury and so happy they took such good care of you while you were there. I must say I’m not surprised that they did such a great job. We thought they were wonderful while we were there and didn’t even have the special situation you had.
  5. I'm a little jealous. It will likely be two years before we get back there.
  6. I am so glad you enjoyed the review. Looking back through it brings back such good memories. 1 year MRI was good and really looking forward to going back to Alaska to work on my bucket list. Most of my reservations are made and looking forward to the trip while enjoying full retirement.
  7. We stayed at the Pig in the Wall and loved it. I would definitely book there again if we should be lucky enough to return to Southampton.
  8. Your macro shots and pics are beautiful. Can't wait to see more from your trip.
  9. My husband and I went last year, in September. The fall hours had just started and did effect our planning a bit. I am the Chihuly fan and DH is not in the least. I believe we spent about 2 hours there. I was able to get a good taste and see most everything but not doddle. The 2 hours made us both happy.
  10. You are off to a great start, can't wait to read more.
  11. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. If you are like us, this will be the first of many Alaskan cruises. I can't wait to get back there. One more year and we will be clicking a few more Alaskan things off our list. I would love to hear what you think of your excursion, ours was wonderful.
  12. This is disappointing to hear. We used them last September for multiple transfers and had no issue. They were wonderful to work with.
  13. We did mid September last year and loved it. I did a review with lots of pics. Here is the link if you want to see, maybe it will help you decide:
  14. I plan to stick to my jeans and fleece lined tights for our dog sledding excursion next August. I keep watching dog sledding videos on the you tube site (not really mentioning the name, right?) And haven't really seen that I'm far off base. I hate to pack something I didn't really need, but you have to decide what's best for you.
  15. We cruised Celebrity to Alaska last year. Our dinning room was the Luminae for suite guests. I had packed a pair of nice black dress pants and some nice tops. I was over dressed every night including the Evening Chic nights. Alaska is the most informal cruise we have ever done. We also did not pack rain pants. Jeans with fleece lined tights worked well even on our rainy morning in Ketchikan. My warm layer was a long zip up hoodie that I was able to wear under my raincoat and alone as a light weight jacket. As mentioned above, wear the heaviest of your clothes and shoes (hiking shoes) on the plane and have a great time.
