  1. I’m a new cruiser (Inspiration 4-day in June) and I’ve been trying to gather as much current info on this topic as it appears Long Beach uses this new procedure and, I too had been curious about how to make purchases prior to receiving our S&S cards at 1:30.

Many thanks for the post as well as all the replies... it’s very helpful!

You use your boarding pass to make purchases until you get your S&S card.

  2. If you’re going for Mardi Gras you’re going to miss it, because it’s in February not Apirl. If you do plan on going in February I would start looking way before Fall. You should start looking now for the 2019 Mardi Gras.

  3. Nope, still not your business. You have no right to tell anyone else how they need to distribute their own money. Until the cruise lines say this is not allowed, then they perfectly have the right to tip cash as they go if they want to. No need to get your panties in a bunch.

I agree with you 100%. I am sick and tired of people implying that if we don’t tip the way they do, that were cheap or doing something wrong. I’ll tip the way I choose to tip and you choose the way you want to tip.

  4. Most off I've seen if 15% and that was through PayPal.

I just checked ebay. I see the completed listing on these, but they were relisted. Seller is someone named reece_bryant114 with negative feedback as a seller.

My guess is that these are not legitimate. Purchase at your own risk.

The last two listings at the 15% off rate were from an eBay seller that was selling the egift cards from PayPal. That seller had over 400,000 positive feedbacks.

  5. Why would Carnival get sued? It was a mistake, sucked for him being falsely accused, that wasn't their fault, they were told by another passenger that he did something. Yes, they should have checked video surveillance before the interrogation, shame on them, but they offered him a meal in a specialty restaurant to make up for it. I would have personally pushed for something more, maybe an excursion or OBC, but they didn't ignore it.

I think you need to go back and watch the YouTube video again. He deserves a lot more than a free excursion.

  6. I also had canceled some fun shop purchases using gift cards. After waiting a week I called them and asked how long it would take for the replacements to arrive. I was told that it could take up to four weeks. However a few days later I received my gift cards. So I guess it depends on who you talk to.

  7. Depending on when your cruise begins, there is a way of changing a e-gift card into a physical gift card.

A few days ago I made a purchase in the fun shop with a e-gift card for a November cruise. After the purchase went through I noticed I had made a mistake. I had ordered a double item. The way carnival sets up purchases in the fun shop you can’t just cancel one item you have to cancel the entire purchase and then re-order the correct amount. So I cancel whole purchase. After waiting four or five days the funds still weren’t added back to my e-card. I called Carnival and they said the funds wouldn’t be put back on the e-card, Instead I would receive the refund on a physical gift card which I would receive the mail in about four weeks.
