This is on sail for our sailing. Did you get the coupons with the cruiseline ticket and complimentary tour at the rum factory included? The main site says this is a $10 value so wondering if this is the difference?I do not believe that a tour of the rum factory was included with our trolley tour. We gave our ticket to the gentleman from the company at the pier and he gave us a sticker to wear that granted us admission to the trolley for the day.

Hi there! I am reading through this post and was wondering if you did the November tour. I’m still confused as to the HOHO rules if booked thru RCCL. Hope you had a great time and are able to shed any light on this. Thanks!Yes, we were in Key West on November 13. You get on the Trolley at their office and then you can get on and get off at as many stops as you wanted. You had a little sticker to indicate that you had purchased the trolley for that day. I booked through Royal Caribbean and got a pretty good deal since I booked during one of their sales. We rode all the way around as did many others. Others hopped on the Trolley, if there was room, at various stops and then got off a few stops later. We were on a music theme cruise and needed to get back to the ship for a pool concert or we would have ridden the Trolley more.

I was on Serenade of the Seas two weeks ago, and many doors were decorated with no issues.

I purchased the Trolley through Royal Caribbean. We were given a sticker to wear which allowed us to ride the Trolley as much as we wanted all day. We chose to ride the Trolley the entire circuit of 13 stops and then choose the stops that we would get off and explore. You did have to get off at the first stop and catch a new Trolley, but the trolleys were generally only a few minutes apart so not much of a long wait. The only downside was if you wanted to get to Trolley Stop 10 and got on at Trolley Stop 2, you had to ride through all the stops between 2 and 10.

I hope you come back after your November experience and let us know about your Trolley tour.
I will definitely post my impressions after the cruise.

Royal recently had a Labor Day sale on the refreshment package which reduced the price by 30%. I would suspect similar holiday sales might reduce the price of the package in the future.

1. Yes, just get the booking number from her and you can make payments on your part of the cruise cost after setting it up in Carnival Cruise Manager.
2 and 3. Yes, you should be able to add any purchase such as WiFi, spa, or excursions on Carnival Cruise Manager. Generally, it asks which customer is purchasing the item.
4. When you do your on-line check-in, you can add separate credit cards for each person.

On the Royal Caribbean website, they have the Trolley listed as a hop on hop off experience. I have it booked this coming November, so hopefully their description is correct.

Per the Royal Caribbean website, the fine is $250.00 (although they call it a cleaning fee).

I took the trip to El Yunque last July, but our trip through Carnival also included a visit to El Castillo. Our tour guide was amazing and stopped at several locations both to and from the rain forest.

As for room service, I believe there is a service charge per order of $7.95 for everything on the room service menu except continental breakfast. The service charge is for the order, which means you pay it whether you order one item or 5 items. Continental breakfast is free.

Yay Carnival employees!

I thoroughly enjoyed this review. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.

Brandon didn’t happen to fly from Lexington KY to Sanford in July of last year on Allegiant did he? We had an 11 hour flight delay. LOL
following to see what happens next.....

I believe it would be considered a fire hazard, and confiscated until the end of the cruise.
Edit: Just looked it up on Carnival’s website, and coffee maker is one of the items listed under prohibited items.

I echo the posters who recommend La Casa En La Playa at Amber Cove. Great food, limited numbers of people allowed on excursion, and the people who run the excursion take great care of you.

Years ago, I was booked on a cruise and unfortunately a nasty ice storm hit the eastern part of the United States pretty badly. The ship departed 5 hours late because nearly 800 were late getting to the port. Come to think of it, it may have been because it was a fully chartered ship (a country music cruise on the SS Norway).

My sister and I got an extra key to my elderly parent’s room on the Magic last summer so that we could check on her as necessary. Both of you just need to go to Guest Services and they will make you an extra key that opens the door only (no charging privileges).

So I am booked on the Country Cruising cruise in November on the Serenade of the Seas. Anyone else ever been on any of these cruises (I think this is the fifth or sixth one put on by these folks?

to avoid the lines at the guest services, the sail n sign kiosk machines near guest services can also break bills
Just don’t wait too late in the cruise to use the sail and sign kiosks to break bills. The kiosks were out of money when I tried to break a $50 bill near the end of a seven day cruise in July. Luckily, there was only one person in line at Guest Services that morning.

I was able to go to Guest Services and get smaller bills.

I’ve only had inside cabins when I have cruised. I am somewhat claustrophobic, but I haven’t had any issues in inside cabins at all. They’re not that small! 😉 I sometimes have issues with insomnia so the inside cabins are perfect for me to get a good nights sleep.

Use insuremytrip.com is excellent advice. You can look through all sorts of policies by a multitude of companies to find the best fit for your circumstances.

PVP verses travel agent..... what can the PVP do that a travel agency can’t? Btw I have never used either of them. Considering next trip
The biggest problem that I have had with using a travel agent is that if you have issues or even questions, Carnival makes you go through the travel agent. I have not yet used a Carnival PVP, although one was apparently assigned to me after my last cruise.

Battery Pack
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I had a battery pack plus several extra batteries for cameras in my carry on and had no issues either at the airport or the cruise ship back in November.
