I did the chefs table on the Conquest in 2019 and we had wine throughout the meal.

Fun Times are now being done on the carnival hub app. they are no longer doing the fun times in the cabins
I didn't realize this! Last cruise I took (September 2019) they had it available both through the app and the paper fun times in the cabin. Not a big deal, because I liked the app better and it's probably good to cut down on the paper waste. I know when I took my last cruise I was very impressed that they had just the photo area with computers to look at photos instead of the massive "print all photos and shred". I know cruising is not environmentally friendly, so any little attempt to cut down on the waste is a win in my book.

So did you get the upgrade?
Nope! Our stateroom category is sold out, so they were unable to even check the price.

I have been on hold for nearly 3 hours... haven't gotten to talk to someone yet! I
If anyone is calling - be prepared!

I am currently on hold - but my category stateroom is $170 per person less. Thanks for the heads up!
I am hoping for an upgrade (that's why I am calling instead of online form), but did book under early saver - so I can always go that route!

For what it's worth, I got an email yesterday from Carnival (regarding my Breeze sailing in December). Here's what it said on masks:
MASKS
Masks are required in the terminal during the embarkation and debarkation process, on any transportation, including water shuttles, at indoor venues where people congregate, including the dining rooms and Lido Buffet prior to being seated, lounges and theaters, retail shops and elevators. Children under 2 are exempt from mask wearing requirements. There will be signage on board, and we ask all guests to follow this request. -

Drinks: Not allowed. And frankly you would not want them unless you are talking about coffee or hot chocolate. They will get very warm very quickly. As stated above, there is ice cold fruited water available in Spa Services waiting area. Glasses are provided but suggest stashing your Yeti in a locker to fill up before you depart the Spa area.
Oh! The Yeti tip is a good one! 🙂 Wasn't planning on brining my own coffee cup, but now I will!

Spa staff will give you your choice body scrub and mitt. Good for allover exfoliation then humam OR self tan.
This is great information! Thank you!
Is that included with the thermal suite pass or is there an extra charge for it?

Oh - one more! Anyone cruise recently know what the mask situation is in the spa???
-
I bought the thermal suite/thalasso therapy pool pass for myself and my husband for our December Cruise on the Breeze. I have been told that the thermal suite on the Breeze is one of the best for Carnival, so I really wanted to make a point to try it! This will be my first time in the thermal suites on any ship, so I do have some questions that hopefully someone can help me out with!
I know the thermal suite is basically like a set of fancy saunas with the heated loungers, so it will be warm/hot, but what type of temperature is the thalasso pool? Is it cool/cold to refresh yourself after the heated rooms or is it warm like a hot tub? I am from the midwest where we take a sauna or sit in a hot tub and then roll in the snow afterwards, so this info seems almost critical to me 🤣
Also - are there any restrictions to what I can bring in with me to the thermal rooms? In my mind, I like the idea of packing a sheet mask in my luggage and then popping it on while I lay on the heated loungers or even sipping on a margarita while I steam.
Finally - does anyone have any spa words of wisdom? I am really looking forward to this, and would love to hear your experiences with the thermal suite on Carnival!

The vaccines are really effective at keeping people from suffering the most severe consequences of covid, but infections are still a possibility. And while the data are showing that vaccinated individuals are less likely to spread covid, it could still happen. So in theory, the only way to keep serious covid-19 cases from spreading would be to have everyone vaccinated. Otherwise, a vaccinated person could potentially infect an unvaccinated person...
Imagine the nightmare scenario of a more contagious varient speading on a cruise ship amonst the unvaccinated folks after one point of contact (a shared drink)... I really think everyone should have to have proof of vaccination to get on a cruise ship.

I think cruise lines are going to have to do everything in their power to prevent serious outbreaks of the virus. This should definitely include required vaccinations for all passengers... and until covid is more under control overall, the other measures should stay too.

While that would make it easier, it also would allow it to be changed and also mean that I needed to put other files elsewhere. I worked awfully hard on it for weeks, making it public might be a bridge too far for me although I am happy to share. 🙂
Totally understand!! 🙂 We appreciate you being so willing to share!

Hey @AlohaLivin! Since so many people are requesting your map, is it possible to make a public version and share a link?

Sea Day Brunch for food for sure!
Hairy Chest Contest for laughs (but my husband never volunteers!!)
Harry Potter Trivia for fun
Oh... and maybe the quarter pusher at the casino because I am always sooo close.

@AlohaLivin you can email me at embem1992 at hotmail. Thank you so much for your help!

@AlohaLivin I would love to see what you had mapped out for "The Amigos Take San Juan" 😀
I am especially interested in your food finds! 🙂 My hubby is a huge foodie, and at one point told me that the best part of vacations was "trying all the different foods".

@Racer70 Thank you for the links! I feel like that map will be super helpful!

Hubby and I will be on the Carnival Conquest in a few weeks, and we're largely eschewing traditional shore excursions in favor of more DIY options. We'll be in in San Juan on Sept. 17th, and we want to do our own walking tour of Old San Juan and maybe the forts if time allows.
Does anyone have recommendation for guide books/literature on the area to help us map out our walking tour? There was one kindle book I found on Amazon that might be good (The Old San Juan Walking Tour), but reviews were pretty mixed.
Other words of wisdom on San Juan for those who have been there?

Glad I read this! The type of straws they have wasn't even on my radar. I'll be sure to throw a couple of my stainless straws into my suitcase for my cruise in sept. 🙂

17 days until I leave for Miami, 18 days until I am on the boat! 🙂
How do I know what perks/on board credit I have?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I booked through early saver, and had filled out the online form a few times as prices went down. At one point in time there was a cheaper "post from paradise" rate with the internet package.
I cannot figure out how to tell which rate/perks I ultimately have and/or if I have obc.
Is there a way to check this online somehow that I am just not finding? Or would I have to call?
