We drove to the express lot from the west side. We stayed at the Hilton on the Seawall at 54th street. We went over to Broadway then down 37th Street to Old Port Industrial Blvd. to the Express Lot. We went early, about 9:40. No traffic but fair number of people in line when we arrived. Doors opened a little early and we were in our room by 11:20.

Agree with previous comments. The Hilton garden Inn is a nice pre flight hotel. There is a You Tube video "Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 Walk to Terminal 3, Hilton Garden Inn Underground". Since you have mobility issues this may give you a feel for what the walk is like.The walk takes 10-15 minutes. The video was a little confusing at the end but you end up right at the lifts and escalator. There is also an interactive map on the Heathrow website. If I recall correctly the underground walkway is on level -1.
