  1. Has anyone used this company? Looking to rent golf carts and wondering how they run etc. My first choice Karib cancelled out reservation[emoji53] and I heard not great things about Nathan's, and hard to find anything on this company. Let me know if you've used grand Turk Adventures with Omar, thanks!!

  2. I am very interested in this as well. Considering renting 2 carts in early January. If I do rent from him, I will let you know about my experience. My understanding is that there isn't a guide. I am going to print off a map of the island, but he may provide one. The island is fairly small and I have previously been on a guided ATV tour through the cruise line. It was fun, but we want to explore on our own, at our own pace.

Thank you I appreciate it!! I agree about wanting to explore on our own that's exactly how we feel. The website doesn't give much info...thanks again! And enjoy!!

  3. we have gone 4 times in jan, 2 were cold and 2 were nice swiming weather so it is good to have a back up plan

Yes I agree after researching it seems to be that way, hit or miss. This is only my 2nd cruise, my first was in August. I don't know what to expect with it being January it's going to be a totally different experience just praying it's going to be a warm year down there!!

    Our re routed Eastern route.

Only there 7-2 now. It was 12-6.

We're going to wing it and try to rent a golf cart when we get there.

Have never done before. But have done a tour of Island.

  5. Thank you my cruise will be going to half moon cay as well my biggest concern is it's going to be January so not sure how "beach weather" it's going to be. I heard the water is freezing that's why I was looking for other alternatives I heard a lot of good about the golf carts but wasn't sure with the recent hurricane. Thanks all

  6. Since you're going in January, do keep in mind the water tempertures in Nassau that time of year can be quite CHILLY.

Thank you yes that will be new for me as last time I was in Nassau it was August!! Big difference in the water temperature but honestly just looking for a nice fun spot I can chill on the beach and drink:cool:

  7. I was there last week. We walked from the ship and landed at Tiki Bikini. Byron and Diva took care of us. For $50 we got 2 lounge chairs, an umbrella, 8 mixed drinks, and 8 shots. Cheap strong rum, rather crowded as there were 4 ships in port, but lots of fun. The water was great and no one bothered you.

This is exactly what I was looking for!! Perfect...Thank you:cool:

  8. It's $20....

What's your point? If I had known that before purchasing I would have never bought at cabbage. I wasnt expecting vodka out of water bottles and juice jugs is all I'm saying. Which is why I think I'll try Junkanoo this time simply for the drink specials and variety. But that's what I get for not researching beforehand now I've learned my lesson...

  9. I was there last year...spent time on the beach...at the bar...and in the water. no problem at all! this is the only beach i go to when there.

Thanks for your reply!! I was thrown off by all the negative reviews I've been reading recently. Hoping more people have had experiences like you!

  10. I was also less than impressed with the $20 all you can drink which was sketchy vodka served out of water bottles. At Junkanoo it seems they have a variety of different drinks which is what I would be looking for!
