  1. Does anyone happen to have a picture of the menu of Sabor with prices?

I have been searching for pricing but cannot seem to find it anywhere, after thinking it was free as its listed on the reservation system as $0, but now understand from reading on here it is not free and a la carte but I cannot seem to find a price list anywhere? I do not think I will cancel my reservation as I would love to try it, but wondering on costs per item.

  2. We were in the Breakaway in October and had NCL OBC (non refundable) along with Travel Agency OBC (refundable as it was purchased with travel agency Amex) and was told that no OBC was allowed anymore for the services charges and it seemed that OBC was in a separate account and would not go towards daily service charges, so we used it to purchase a future cruise certificate which automatically used the OBC. We have sailed NCL before and used OBC to help pay daily service charges but was told by guest relations this was no longer the case. All daily service charges were to be charged to your credit card on file at check in.

  3. I just tried calling and this only works if the cruise booking was made in Canadian dollars. We booked this cruise last May when dollar was pretty good and booked in US dollars so now I cannot buy OBC in Canadian dollars as my booking is in USD. :(. Both currencies have to match so no advantage to me to buy OBC and have to pay in USD right now.

  4. Just wondering if anyone who has stayed in this cabin (14725) could tell me how obstructed the view is? Would you happen to have pictures of the cabin and balcony/ view? I did not research this cabin before booking it, but looks like there could be a beam blocking the view to the Aqua Theater? Just wondering how bad it is, as I hate to ask our Travel Agent to move us to a new cabin as we would like to be at the back of the ship.

  5. Do you mean the 'Hard Rock' sign without a Hard Rock Cafe? Last time we were there, we saw the sign but found no cafe. We weren't sure if they moved or put up the sign before they opened the cafe.

yeah you got that right, there is a sign, but no café that we saw ;). I am not sure if it just was no open yet, or if they ran out of money before opening it, or if it may be open now?? Not sure but know there was no café last year when we were there, just the sign but its a good land mark for finding the Harley store as its in the same area.

  6. We were there last year and they just built a brand new plaza across the street from the pier and there is a Harley shop there. I bought tshirts and patches there.

    :):)

There is more then one dock in Cozumel so depending on which dock your at it may be close to you. There is a new plaza across the street from one of the piers which if you walk through the cruise terminal and through the gates its directly across the street its on the back side of the plaza. You will see a Hard Rock Cafe sign just walk towards it and you should see the Harley store. We bought T-shirts there last year, prices are a bit higher then most Harley stores in the USA but that's to be expected in the Caribbean. Not a huge selection but you should be able to find something.

  7. Hi we are sailing on the Oasis of the Seas in Feb 2015, and will be in cabin 14697 in the Boardwalk. I am trying to find pictures of the view, from the balcony. I know it overlooks the boardwalk but I'm trying to find out if we'll be able to see the ocean at all, or be able to see the Aqua Theatre shows from the balcony?

If you've stayed in this cabin, or any cabin around this location can you please let me know the view or post pictures. Or if you know someplace I can look this information up on line, that would be great as I cannot find anything in search.

Also just realized the sports deck is directly above us, any noise from bouncing basketballs, etc?

    Thanks!!

  8. Thanks everyone for your posts. We were able to go from a gty inside to a gty balcony for less then $100 more so it was a no brainer for us. We are still waiting for the balcony to be assigned at 17 days before sailing, and so looking forward to this cruise!! The price has dropped twice in the past couple days since we booked but looks to be making it's way back up again.

  9. I booked the Breakaway yesterday afternoon, GTY cabin and I just logged in to check if a cabin has been assigned yet, and its now pricing $100 cheaper today then what we paid yesterday. It's only 19 days until sailing so I had to make the full payment yesterday, so no refund but does NCL offer OBC or anything for the price difference or we out of luck?

  10. We just booked the NCL Breakaway Oct 5th sailing and looking at purchasing the Unlimited Dining Package for $119 for the entire cruise. I am just wondering if anyone could be so kind to explain how this works when purchasing it online. If I purchase now online do I need to purchase it first and then go back into reservations to reserve each restaurant after I make the purchase, or do you do it all in one transaction? Just unsure how I reserve all our dining now? Or is this even possible to do online before you leave home? I do not want to miss out on any dining times, as I have read that waiting until you board the ship sometimes its very difficult to get the times and restaurants you want?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I cannot seem to find any posts explaining how it works.

    thanks so much!

  11. Anyone been to Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala recently who can provide information on how safe you felt at this port?

We are there in March and I am unsure if we will get off the ship, as I have read some reviews that are not so great, and needing armored soldiers for the excursions? Is this still the case, as I would not feel very comfortable with this, but really do not want to spend the day on the ship.

If I was going to book a tour, I would only book with Carnival and do the "Antigua, On Your Own" excursion and hiring a guide when we got to Antigua.

Anyone share any information who might of done this recently, and let us know what the situation is like there now, and if this is still the case for this port?

    thanks so much!

  12. Hello

I am looking for some advise on two Alaska itineraries and ships and hoping for some advise.

We are planning an Alaska vacation on May 12, 2013 sailing. We are 4 adults (1 adult with limited mobility who uses wheel chair and walker). We will need a wheelchair in cabin, some of the vacation when embarking/disembarking. She will use the walker most of the time while on the ship. We can not get a wheel chair accessible cabin on Celebrity right now, but can get one on Holland America. So wondering what the difference of these two ships would be, and which would you think would be the better choice? She is thinking she could do without the accessible cabin, but we are leaning more towards taking an accessible cabin if one is available, but we want to make sure we pick the right ship and best itinerary possible, and what people's thoughts are on these two itineraries and ships, as we could waitlist for an accessible cabin so we want to make sure we go with best itinerary now when making our booking.

  13. We ordinarily book independent tours however Guatemala is one of those few countries where we felt it was better to book thru the ship. It may be of interest to people that our buses were escorted to Antigua by two pick-up trucks, one in front of us and the other behind....in each truck there were 5 very heavily armed soldiers.

Thank you so much for this information. It looks like it will be a ships excursion for us. I have researched many private tours, but do not feel comfortable with any of my responses, and tour operators wanting full payment upfront and after reading your message, we have decided it will be a ships tour or nothing.... thanks for posting! Just wondering if you felt safe in Antigua?

  14. After reading many reviews on Rome in Limo I decided to contact the company and book everything we could with them. We were a large group of over 50 people. We used Rome in Limo for Rome Day and also Night tour, Naples, and Florence, as well as transfers from our hotels to the cruise ship. We were never disappointed and their service is above and beyond. They go the extra mile to make you happy. They were always there waiting for all tours before their scheduled time, with friendly drivers. Vehicles were all in excellent condition. The knowledge of their drivers and guides amaze me. I could never say enough about this company.

We had the following guides and drivers for our services with Rome in Limo -

-Serena was our guide for a day in Rome - tour of 16 people - She was excellent. You could never ask for a better guide and I would highly recommend asking for her if you are looking for a Rome in Limo Day Tour of Rome. She was very friendly, answered all questions, and took us everywhere in Rome. She is just the kind of person you can really warm up to, and become friends very quickly. She was wonderful!

    - Marco and Francesco were our drivers on our night tour of Rome, - who had champagne for our group of 15. We had a busy day walking with the day tour and everyone was very tired and did not want to walk far. They were wonderful at tweaking our itinerary, and getting us very close to sights where we did not have to do a lot of walking on the Night Tour. Rome is just as beautiful after dark as it is in the day time.

    - Maurizio drove us to the port - a very fast driver, but got us there with no problems. We also had a second vehicle, but sorry I do not remember the name of the second driver. We had two vehicles of 8 passengers per vehicle.

    - In Livorno / Florence we had 5 vehicles of 8 per vehicle. Our drivers were Gianmaria, Vinny, Fabrizio, Riccardo and Giovanni. Each vehicle thought they had the best drivers and everyone had a wonderful day.

    - Port of Naples, we had four vehicles of 8 people per vehicle. Carmine, Giampiero, Americo and Luigi - I must say Carmine made our whole vacation! I rate him as the #1 tour driver of all times, and this is over 35 cruises for us. He made our day so much fun, and we fell in love with him from the time we left the port. So friendly, and so funny! He is a real great guy and Rome and Limo should be very proud to have him on staff. This was by far my most favorite day. If you get a chance to ever go here, ask for Carmine and you will have the best tour possible. Sorrento was wonderful and wish we would of had more time here, but our ship was 1.5 hours late docking so we lost some tour time, but Carmine did a very good job of making up time and working with the schedule. Pompeii was much larger then I was expecting and we did not see a lot of it in the two hours scheduled, but enjoyed every minute of the time we did have there. Amalfi Coast was breathtaking and the highlight of the trip! We stopped on the mountain top for lunch and had the most amazing view you could ever ask for, with real Italian food made by Mamma. Thanks so much for taking us here!

Please book your tours with Rome in Limo you will be glad you did! Our group of 50+ loved every tour, and their friendly service!

  15. Does anyone know of any tour companies for a pick up at the Puerto Quetzal Port to Antigua Guatemala? I contacted TURANSA but they want full payment upfront, and we would prefer a small deposit, or credit card # to confirm reservation and be able to pay in cash the day of the tour.

Just wondering if anyone might know of other companies?
