we used this airtag holder off of Amazon, it worked great for all of us. DS chose green camo, DH got the blue camo, and I got the mint and purple ones.
make sure to get one with this kind of closure or velcro.
The one like this tends to unbuckle and get lost:
we previously used a clip, but my kid likes the "watch" holder better.
Do you ever get asked to remove the medallion at security so that the engraved details can actually be seen?

No I don’t. I wear jeans and T shirts that don’t show American symbols. I have traveled all over North and South America and Europe and have often been often been questioned by tourists who think we are local. We don’t go to tourist bars or restaurants
Us Brits can spot you guys from across the pond a mile off 😉

Cielo all day long for us! We made a compliant about the service in the Soliel restaurant once and the Maitre D’hotel found us a table in the Cielo with a quip about how much better the service was in there 🤷♂️ We certainly could not fault it and we had a cracking sea view too 👏

Help please. It states in the upgrade blurb that the price is per person based on 2 people. So if my wife and I travel with our 11 year old granddaughter is the upgrade cost the price x the first 2 or upgrade price x 3?
Thanks. -

Yes, you're quite right @devonuk, and it's certainly not my favourite venue. That said, the MDRs on the two larger ships can also be really noisy as times.
Absolutely, which is why we only ever use the Opal or Aqua.

Keel & Cow is one of the restaurants for which you are encouraged to enter the virtual queue through the My Holiday app/non-app, which for the evening service opens at 17:30. However, there are folk that refuse to embrace the technology, and choose other methods to get a table. To the best of my knowledge, they don't take fixed bookings.
If you visit the podium during the lunch service on the day itself, and tell the restaurant host of your birthday plans, I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of an inconvenience for them to hold a table for you.
The Keel and Cow can have an ‘eating in a corridor’ feel in that it’s not an intimate environment and can be spoilt by noise from the atrium etc.

I have used P4C at least a dozen times. What problems did you have?
Hello again, read back through the posts 👆

I suppose it all comes down to what you want personally ?
Some folk want to be parked near the ship others happy to park
in the multi saving a few quid.
We've been there and done both, nowt up with either but for us
we now use the Holiday inn or cricket ground Hilton. We do this
for several reasons ..1/ We like to travel the day before and walking
distances or carrying bags is a no due to medical reasons . Wake up
next morning ,have a nice breakfast and at our time jump into a taxi
provided and whisked to the cruise terminal doors ,suits us fine .
That's what it's all about what suits you ,yer make your choice .
Every choice has good and bad ,even the Hilton , you keep your keys
and its covered with cameras and a coded release barrier but on
the down side Do not park under the trees or near the golf range 😬
@devonuk If you don't mind me asking, where do you choose to
park for your cruises now ? 🙂
CPS, ABP or the West Quay multi storey depending on the embarkation berth or whether inc in the package etc.

That wouldn’t bother me one bit!
There’s no security at all… if you’re happy go with it 👍

Why is that a problem?
So you’d be happy with your car being there, moved on a regular basis and several miles off the docks? If you’re happy that’s all the matters I guess 🤔

What happened?
Basically they’re losing their parking options so have resorted to using a number of locations that I would rather they didn’t. See my message below.

I have used them for almost 10 yrs, and only had minor incident when I received a parking fine for Mayflower. But that was promptly handled and P4C dealt with the fine.
They’re running out of room to park around Southampton but they won’t tell you where they’re going. This is where mine was parked last time in Totton which was moved several times in the fortnight I was away 😡👇

I did. Cps want £270.
they charge more in school holidays than in April/March etc. which is so very annoying.
anyway I have looked at parking4cruises. The price comes in at just under £150 which I am perfectly happy with.
However I have no clue what it’s like- is it just more of less the same as cps and I can walk to the boat when the car has been dropped off?
I once used P4C as my go to for parking. Never again after mine and others recent experiences 😡
-
They were dear enough previously, certainly wouldn’t have used them before and most definitely won’t be in the future 🙁

That aside what did you in particular not like?
The constant embarkation/disembarkation at each port with all of the relevant tannoy announcements etc.
Attending the evening shows and having to watch the Senior Officers introductions again and again.
The having to listen to messages in all of the differing languages.
The horrendous Market Place.
The overworked waiting staff who unfortunately have no time to chat.
The disregard for rules such as too many in the pools and jacuzzi’s.
The dollar and dime feel.
The pissed up passengers acting a tw@t and very loud.
Too many passengers for me.
The poor/overcrowded spa.
The very limited stateroom storage with 4 coat hangers 🤷♂️The evening turndown service where the towels that have just been used are not changed, thus leaving them wet until the morning.
Having to pay to watch in room movies.
Overpriced wine/spirits.
The stupid situation re onboard payments if using cash or debit cards.
Im bored now so I’ll leave it there.
Of course there was a lot good aspects but I’ll stick with the cruise lines I like whilst continuing to try other lines I haven’t had the pleasure of yet. All have their idiosyncrasies but some are more tolerable than others.
I’m trying out Seabourn next for the first time so that’ll be interesting but in the meantime I have 4 Princess and 1 P&O to hopefully enjoy 🙏Just remember though that it’s your opinion that is relevant to you 👍

We've sailed on Cunard, stayed at a Hilton and Intercontinental, sailed around 25 cruises, 11 of which have been with MSC in various parts of the globe, prefer MSC to the other lines we have sailed on.
Good for you and that is why we have forums for an opinion to be expressed 👍
MSC is not for me though and it doesn’t make me a bad person 😇

Back from my first ever MSC Cruise (Euribia) after some 30 cruises on a variety of differing lines. My overall impression is not good and when asked I use an analogy that a Travelodge is good in that it provides a decent bed, en-suite, coffee maker etc. and if that’s all you’ve experienced you’d think it was pretty good. However, if you’ve stayed in the Hilton, Intercontinental etc. you’d probably think the Travelodge was not so great and that folks is where I will leave it.
The ship itself is fantastic but overall for me the good was far out weighed by the very bad.
It’s cheap for a reason and it shows 😬 -

Hopefully one day they will drop the whole farce altogether and just have smart casual as evening option, after we are on holiday not attending an awards function.
But some customers prefer the other option and seek out the cruise lines that still have formal nights 👍

I can foresee a few arguments on the horizon and it will only be as good as the crew imposing the rules 🤦♂️

In the Uk there is a TA who is offering gratuities,Wi Fi and drinks up to $15 included in the fare.
I have just changed from our favourite cruise line as they have stopped All Included.
Thanks for the info… my point was that Crew Appreciation is not mandatory on Princess.

Id recommend taking the train to Delft. A superb day out and the history in the cathedral where William of Orange etc are buried is worth the trip alone 👍
