It's $A20 for a a visitor online if you DIY. via the immi site.
The 115 and 130 is for different class of visa.

You can do it on your own.
The 9.30 train from Cairns works perfectly.
You probably wont spend too long in Kuranda if you aren't keen on markets etc. Skyrail back down and Tjupakai is at the bottom nearby. Prebook the tickets online.
You can get a taxi to get you from there if you want which will be about $25 back to the ship. (I am assuming you are docking in Cairns Central)

So,
I've done my cruise and thanks to a lovely CCer used my value well.
Now I have another cruise booked
How do I get a referral coupon to gift on to someone here and spread the joy?
Will it come automatically or will I need to ask?

No brainer for me,
this is one place i will be taking my full complement of lens and the spare SLR body, plus a spare battery.
I doubt I'll get to go back so I want to get it right,
not to mention that a return trip to recapture the photos will probably cost as much as the camera gear

Pre Antarctic Cruise...
OK so I'm think Recoleta, and don;t want to break the budget.
I've got it narrowed down to Sileo and Lois Suites.
Any feedback would be great
I will post this on the BA ports as well.

Terry it was down at the 92 level for several days until the leader ship spill on Wednesday night.
Rose in reaction to Rudd, then dropped again when they realised there was not going to be a no confidence vote and change of election date.

Having not long done the visa thing you only needed to do 30 countries (ours was on line)
They did expect EXACT dates (thank goodness for passport stamps) and they do electronically check. I'm gathering those little ** mean add an additonal page and my suggestion would be to do that
Looks easier with a paper version though.
Have fun!

Ok I'm sorted for Arlanda to hotel as we've been to Stockholm before
If there are 3 adults with bag each is a taxi the easiest way to Frihamnen ( price is not really a huge issue unless a bus is almost as fast and a 1/3 price)
Going from Grand after visit to Abba museum

Jetstar has a bad rap because they are prone to reschedule flights the day or 2 before. It doesn't show on their on time reliability as the flight just "disappears". Usually happens when the flight doesn't look viable.
JQ is like ryanair. If you have anything planned then be ready and flexible to change it and never book a connecting flight with another airline.
The food at Sydney Tower is pretty ordinary. If you want a good harbour view and don't feel comfortable with the bridge consider the SE Pylon..

No they just shopped at one of the trendier young boutiques
this is what is currently in "vogue"

Note this is just a small sample as down under web sales are only "most popular"

, the profiled group will want to see the ship as an extension of home. They can afford as much food and drink as they want at home and see no reason to enjoy the champagne and freebies to excess. For them it should be business as usual'ish. They'll eat more informally and want to escape the constraints that their extreme normal day to day lives places on them. For example rigorous adherence to highly planned and tuned schedules. They yearn for relaxing informality where everything is taken care of.
Jeff
This is the untapped market which is arising downunder and to a large extent what we found people on our cruise to be like
-
They are for example likely to drink more, that drink is more likely to be champagne, they'll demand caviar more, be upset if lobster and crab claws aren't available night and day on demand etc. They are also more likely to complain because their expectations were greater. I can go on.
Jeff
This is exactly what we feared would hapeen on our cruise and thnakfully it didn't

This restaurant will have 3 other options you can choose at any one time (ie the other three ships).
I'm sure there are already pax who choose either the larger or smaller ships because they have a preference for their size or amenities. having a preference for one or the other doesn't discourage them from using SS (but I may be wrong).
People also choose their passage according to itinerary (which is why we have nothing booked for next year yet).
For SS I still think this is very much an opportunity to grow their market )and belive me there is a new market out there despite current economics in the US)
-
SS has been trying to expand its market in Australia and NZ over the past 18 months with aggressive advertising in our Luxury travel magazines and Broadsheet newspapers. Seabourn has not even really begun to make an appearance.
these folks aren't looking for toga parties nor wet T-shirt contests--they simply want to be able to relax on vacation in high-quality surroundings.""
When we mentioned going on SS a few people knew who they were, some even mentioned Oh they look great but I'd have to wear a tux!
Several of these people would jump at this new style of cruise"where they would have been hesitant before!
Australians are by world standards casual dressers (mostly due to our climate) and are discouraged by the thought of buying an additional item of clothing to carry which would only be used for 2 or 3 nights. As a nation we tend to travel for longer periods and have limited luggage capacity (20kg is the standard with 7kg of carry on) so bringing clothes that are worn so rarely is discouraging.
If SS can get a larger part of their foot in the door downunder (before their major competitor) by taking this strategy then it can only be good for all of us.
The other thing that stands out is the popualrity of La terraza on formal nights which indicates there is already a signicant passenger load who do not need formal nights to enjoy their cruise.
The inclusion of special tours is definitely a highlight. We are not standard tour people but will take one if the offering is "öut of the box" such as the Tower by night on our recent london visit.
Many posts ago i suggested the possibilty of specialty cruises appealing to certain client bases. (no kids guranteed being one of them).
Edited to add...
Whilst the price and location may not appeal to some it does take into account some very busy port destinations offered by many cruising companies
I don't really view the selected cruise as "middle east" with a large proportion of it being the Greek islands and Cyprus. Kusadasi is a well touristed venue being the port for Ephesus (yes i know they have had recent terrorist attacks). For me middle east would be Lybia, Syria, Egypt etc places i would think twice about going to.
