We had purchased it for our Nov 14th sailing on Harmony. It was cancelled. From what I understand, they are offering it on select ships right now to work out the new benefits and boarding procedures.

Has anyone received an email confirmation showing the OBC was applied?
If not, does anyone have a phone number or email to "shareholder's benefits" to confirm?
Thank you.
I only got an email from them saying that one of my cruises was not eligible for the OBC. THe rest were just added to my cruise planner.

I understand about the Bubble Excursions in ST Kitts but does anyone know if the shops at the pier are open?

Most in our county got theirs at the same location. A closed Nordstrom at our local mall was used by the health dept and gave the vast majority of shots, especially before pharmacies got them. Even then, they were able to give a lot. I'm not sure about posting of shots from other providers, but they're probably on the site too. I just know for a fact that ours are since we went to the mall site.
I am a Loudoun County Resident too and received my vaccination at CVS. The Data is available in the State Health Department website. I did work at the Dulles POD after I was fully vaccinated and yes, they pushed 3000-5000 people through a day!

Someone on a live thread said they were 90 a bottle
$90 on the ship? That's crazy! It's $60 plus tax here in VA. Yes, it's allocated and you have to watch when your store gets their delivery but it shows up about once a month. We did get some Oct 2019 on an RCCL ship and they price matched our state ABC store but it was only by a few bucks a bottle, not $30!

I am not sailing until December but would love to see what is for sale in the Spirits Ship. Particularly Scotch, Bourbon and other whiskies. Any pics/lists would be appreciated so I can plan my OBC purchases.
Thanks! -

Not necessarily. Bad weather can just as easily delay or cancel your day-before flight and leave you scrambling for another day-of, when you would have been fine if you had just booked the day-of flight in the first place. We try to fly Southwest as much as possible so that we can change without penalty at the last minute should the weather forecast indicate a big snowstorm or something on our original flight date, but we'll pay a change fee too, if we must.
That is exactly what happened to us. By the time they cancelled our flight, it was too late to take off our luggage and put it on the new flight. We would make the cruise but not our checked bags or scuba gear. That was a big nope! We told them to not send our luggage anywhere and we would pick it up in the morning. Went home and booked a flight and hotel to Cayman, our first port of call and left DC sunny weather the next morning. We were in Cayman diving when the ship was at sea and we boarded in Cayman. Thank goodness for travel insurance that picked up $1800 of additional out of pocket expenses!

I will be on the Edge in July, and we have heard you can reserve time on the Peloton bikes by checking in at the Spa. However, I have not been able to find out about cycling shoes, do the bikes have the Peloton Delta style pedals, cages, or the standard SPD clips?
Does the streaming work on the ships internet or is it laggy and buffer constantly? I will have a 30 week streak going and don't want to miss my PowerZone rides while cruising, especially with all the extra food I will be consuming.
The Peletons had cages that I used. There may have been clips on other side of pedals. I did use the SPD shoes in the Cycle room that they had available with disinfectant spray to use afterwards. I preferred the regular Spin bikes over the Peletons but it was my first time riding one.

Thanks so much Shadow 9612- it was pleasure doing so- and they have been my first " Live from" reports. Maybe I will do another one when I board the brand new Apex in two weeks for the Maiden Voyage.
Please do! And go see my friend Helio in the liquor shop on board. He is a great guy! We are not sailing APEX until December and are a little envious. You are lucky to be sailing with only 300 guests!

Has anyone gotten any points? I have not and have done all of them!

We really enjoyed the meal in Eden on Edge...I was looking forward to it on Apex too and hope they still have different and unique courses that you cannot get elsewhere.

Celebrity Loyalist looking to sail Princess for the first time...as I understand it, there are more things alike than different.
We are looking at the Caribbean Princess for a sailing in April, 2020. I see that the ship has recently been refurbished. Can anyone compare the ship to either a Celebrity or RCCL class?
Appreciate it! -

Were there any lecture series during your cruise. I will be sailing this Sunday and one of the things I like a lot on my Celebrity cruises are the guest lecturers.
There were "Beyond the Podium" lectures focusing on DNA Forensics. My husband said that they were really good.

This will be our first time driving to the port and wondering if you drop your bags off with the porters before parking your car...Seems like a silly question to ask after 20-something cruises!

The gym is great and lots of equipment to use. There are Peleton brand Spin Bikes but I was able to use the ones in the cycle studio where they also had cycle shoes (with clips) to borrow. I hope it's still the case when we sail her again on December 1st!

Bea ... The weekend v weekdays post does make sense and it seems that this is what happened today, a poor effort by the port authority and by MSC not doing their homework from previous ship stops such as QM2 during the week.
Not only the weekend but Yom Kippur.

Keep in mind that Bad Harbor is a tender port.
Thanks for this...I did not realize it was a Tender port!

This coming October my Mom will be on a MSC Cruise with stops in Bar Harbor and Portland Maine. She is not interested in a excursion but is looking to get off the ship and get a Lobster Roll. Her mobility is somewhat limited so looking for something close to port. Any suggestions?
Thanks! -

Nobody knows, yet, what the food onboard will be like 'til Meraviglia starts her season in the US. She's doing a couple of itineraries from New York to Canada from Oct 8th before she heads to Miami. We're embarking on Oct 18th for one of them, before sailing down to Miami, via the Caribbean. Keep an eye out for reports from that time on which may give you more of an idea of what to expect.
We'll be on the same sailing as you. It will be our first MSC Cruise...

Typical Uber or Lyft is a Toyota Camry, Prius or similar sized vehicle - should easily fit 2-3 plus normal bags. If you have more passengers or lots of luggage request UberXL (usually a minivan).
We are just going to suck it up and get an Uber or Lyft XL. Should be about $75 from what I am seeing...
-
Was coming to find out the same...We are getting off the Edge in Ft Lauderdale and getting on the Allure in Miami. The only problem with Uber/Lyft that I can see if they have a too small of a vehicle for luggage. Only 2 people but 2 large and 2 small suitcases...

There are also Travel/Retail varieties of some that you will not be able to find at your local liquor shop. Very common when shopping for Single Malt Scotch expressions.

The menus may also change when the ship returns to the US...Although that is just a guess and I have not seen the menus. I am not in a Suite until the end of January. Sailing in steerage in December! 😄
