I dislike wind and cold so we walk the interior corridors of the ship. We start at our floor, walk the halls, walk down one flight of stairs and then repeat till level one. Then we start back up. By the end of the cruise we have met most of the cabin stewards - Lol!

If teens that were out past curfew gathered together and ate pizza, danced in appropriate venues, gathered in public areas and played cards or board games, etc. or did activities that were safe and didn't bother others, there would be no need for a curfew.
But since some teens will drink smuggled alcohol, run up and down hallways yelling, and engage in other inappropriate behavior, a curfew is necessary.

You probably need a bed that gently rocks. I wonder if such a thing is made? And I don't mean a baby cradle - LOL!

I was absent the day they handed out the ability to sleep late, so I'm pretty much always up early unless I'm 100% exhausted.
Sigh. Me too. Would love to be able to sleep in. Didn't happen as a teenager and certainly isn't happening now. [emoji27]

Isn't st Thomas part of the USVI so considered domestic ??

If you are a geek like me, there are really good Windows and photo editing classes on most (all?) HAL ships. Go early as they fill up fast.

I believe they make waterproof phone covers if all you plan to do is take pics of the kids in the water and not submerge the phone. There are several on Amazon for under $10.

We've never cancelled a cruise, probably because we only book a few months out and we only book after we've already researched flights, ports, accommodations, etc.

We haven't checked a bag in 7 years and we sometimes travel for 3 months. Fitting everything in 2 carry ons for 4 days would be a breeze for us!

Unfortunately I need something to carry my camera, iPhone which has the kindle app, eye drops, Chapstick and Kleenex. So I carry a purse.

I looked at Amazon and there are plenty of underwater cameras around $100. I am sure one of them would be adequate. Just read the reviews. Enjoy!

I suggest you visit your local Best Buy or similar store so that you can hold the camera and try it out. There was one camera I saw on Amazon that sounded and looked great, but I decided to look at it in person locally, and it just felt wrong in my hands. Once you see and try out a camera that you like, you can either buy it in the store or online.

I have a problem with rashes on my wrist so I have the zip. I just clip it to the inside of a pocket (in case it would fall off though it never has). You don't need wifi to read your steps and miles walked either.

I remember reading about this occasionally happening with travel agencies maybe 20 or 30 years ago.
Customers would sometimes even be stranded in foreign countries. I think now all travel agencies have to have a trust account and insurance??

Just curious - has this week's cruise sailed?

We wash our hands after using the bathroom and use the provided disinfectant before eating.
I am very careful where and what I eat when ashore in a third world country.

Maybe you can find one private tour that does both the things that the two ship's tours do?

My DW did get mad at me when there was a shopping special going on well over a hour people vanished and left all there crap behind. So I recruited my DS to help me move two chairs from one area to another area when the people came back they looked like they could not remember where they parked there car.
OMG! You should be hired in the Comedy Club!!

No one even around that early and I always see every pool area lounger with a towel. I saw a girl tie shopping bags to chairs forming a 8 lounger chain at 8am around 11 she found them all tied to one chair. I wish I knew who did that :D. Me and friends watched her go crazy. lol
Ok Detroitlions, I am seriously chuckling as I read you post. We occasionally move towels off a couple of chairs and sit down.
If the person who put the towels there returns, we look at him angelically and reply, "what towels? The chair didn't have any towels on it when we sat down"
Usually, the chair saver doesn't even return while we're there so we simply put the towels back on the chair before we leave.

Had a couple of nice up sells but never a free upgrade.

I think I would be angry that I couldn't get off the ship today to enjoy st Thomas. I know there is a lot to do on the ship but we are port people and I would rather enjoy a day ashore on a tropical island than one on the ship.
-
Hmmm. I rather doubt she'll actually be back.

Thank you Lisa.

I find internet on most ships to be quite s l o w. It is slower at peak times and faster at slack times. Speed was fastest at 4am when I got up to use the bathroom -Lol!
You can supplement the slow internet on the ship with wifi at your port stops.

Actually, somethings data roaming is needed. We geocache and if we have trouble finding what we are looking for, data roaming can be very helpful. We turn it on, use it briefly, and turn it back off. We always buy a data package for this reason, though we keep data roaming off until we need it.
