  1. Hello! Our Cruise out of Port Canaveral doesn’t happen until February, 2025, but I am looking into hotels to stay the night before. Fort Pierce is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from us. This would work out well and then drive the rest of the way to port. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice hotel in Fort Pierce? Thanks!

  2. I found when Holland posts its itinerary on the app, providing it is correct, it will show Dressy Night Photos 5:00-10:00 for certain evenings. That’s what I figured out when dressy nights were because the app shows only smart casual for every day.

  3. Thanks for all your responses! It was a random article I was reading, and cannot now find it. But it mentioned the crew used these secret sockets to plug-in vacuum cleaners and such, especially when all the other accessible outlets are being used by the passengers.

  4. We are hoping to get a day pass at the Chogogo Resort when we arrive in April. Would like to try snorkeling for the first time! I’m assuming their dive shop rents equipment. Any idea on cost? Is a snorkel and mask enough, or do I need fins as well? Thanks!

  5. We took a June trip to Alaska. My advice is to plan ahead of course, but watch the weather forecast. Some ports we were walking around in T-shirts and jeans. In Ketchikan it was very cold and raining. We went on the crab boat excursion, and I ended up wearing water resistant pants, long sleeved top, fleece jacket, rain coat, Sperry boots. At one point I used my hat and gloves. Overkill? Maybe, but I was glad I had these items.

  6. While we have been on several cruises, this will be our first time where we are given specialty dining credits. How does this actually work? I know I need to make reservations, but how does the restaurant know we have these credits? If our final tab goes over the credit amount, does the excess automatically get charged to our account? Would love to hear from the experts. Thanks!

  7. We are looking at an excursion “white pass railway & suspension bridge.”  The date we would be in Skagway is September 30. I am reading that the bridge closes the day or two before. Will the train still stop there? I am assuming we just would not be able to cross the bridge, correct? Thanks!

Ketchikan - Bering Sea Crab Fisherman's Excursion

Juneau - Dog Sled Ride Excursion or Whale Watching through Harv & Marv

Skagway - White Pass & Yukon Railroad is a must; Make sure to do the train.

Sitka - Sitka Tours Birds, bears, and barnacles excursion or something close to that book privately through them.

ISP - If you like the Zipline do the Zipline; The ATV excursion is awesome as well; Also a good port to do whale watching.

Victoria - Eagle Wing Tours was awesome; We are planning to do Butchart Gardens in April.

Oh, thank you so much! We did the crab boat on our first trip. (It was the excursion that got my DH to go to Alaska!) We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I definitely want to do a train ride on this trip. I was looking at the White Pass railway and suspension bridge. However, for our port date, I saw the bridge is closed for the season. I’m not sure if we would still stop there or not.

I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your photos.

  9. Next month we will be driving ourselves to Fort Lauderdale for our royal Caribbean cruise. I’m seeing parking should be at terminal 18. Is this an actual garage or a surface lot? Also, is signage pretty clear on where we should go? I am confused on directions getting to the port and parking. Any help would be much appreciated!
