November 2021 We took a taxi to Coco Loco @ Eagle Beach. $40 for 2 lounge chairs with umbrella for the day. Tiki bar with food and adult beverages. Taxi was very reasonable. ~$20 oneway, Not crowded. close to port. rest rooms and outdoor shower.

Was chair and umbrella rental next to Coco Loco?

Let me see if I understand this.

You're going to go to a professional to seek help and guidance regarding your personal health and safety. However, you're going to withhold vital information that this individual might need to make a professional decision regarding your personal health and safety.

    Alrighty then.....

You're 100% right. My hesitation was if he leaned towards being an anti cruise person, but I decided to let his assistant know I am flying and cruising when she called back to confirm. He'll be aware it now.

  3. So this past Christmas I caught the flu that left me with a persistent cough and chest congestion. After a couple weeks I visited my doctor and got diagnosed with pneumonia (bacterial). I did a round of antibiotics (started 2 weeks ago) which has helped, however, I'm left with the occasional cough, fatigue, and shortness of breath if I exert myself too much. I was cleared to return to work this week (rested for a week and no longer contagious). I'm scheduled to fly next Friday so I'm setting up a follow up visit with my doctor to make sure I'm fit to fly.

He knows I'm flying to Florida, however I'm hesitant to mention that I'm going there to board a ship. Not sure where he stands on cruising. I figure if I'm deemed healthy to fly, I should be able to cruise. Should I make it known I will be cruising? I would never board if I was contagious, but I've been told that I'm not. Has anyone flown or cruised 3 weeks after pneumonia diagnosis?

    TIA

I just scheduled a rapid test for Feb 4 - lots of slots available, just do it first thing in the morning to get most convenient time for you. Have insurance card handy.

I got in yesterday for February 3 in the afternoon. Didn't realize some CVS's around the country have run out of the in person rapid tests. Let's add more worries to the equation lol.

Guess I'll have to try and find a home antigen test to use next week to check, then hunt down an official testing place 2 days before we leave. I'm day 12 now but they hit me with an unplanned test 2 days ago, which was still positive. Yeah, I'm definitely carrying my doctor's letter regardless.

You should be able to schedule a CVS Minute Clinic antigen test for February 4 now (they open up scheduling 13 days in advance). Also, you can order a free at home test kit from the government if you can't find any in stores.

  6. My wife and I are on the same sailing. Scheduling tests in the next 7 days are not easy, however I noticed I can schedule a rapid test at CVS as far as 13 days out (which have plenty of availability at the moment in my area). My plan right now is to wait until this Friday to schedule our tests for February 3rd. If I encounter any issues, then I'll order the tele-med Abbott tests that Carnival recommends.

  7. Following along. My wife and I are scheduled to sail February 5 in Horizon. We are on the fence at the moment. We are excited because we booked Havana. Seeing how other cruises are going for passengers the next couple of weeks will help determine if end up going or cancelling and re-booking for a later date. Thanks for sharing your experience.

  8. Thanks for sharing the information. My wife and I will be in Aruba and Curacao in February. We basically just wanted to do a beach day in Aruba and using the bus system sounds to be the best way to do this.

Hopefully whichever beach we end up on has public restrooms and chairs/umbrellas available for rent.

  9. My wife and I booked an Havana stateroom on MG when bookings first went on sale and we hadn't even seen the final layout of the area. We were excited to get it since we were unable to book it on our Vista and Horizon cruises. Anyways, months later when it was confirmed the lack of hot tubs and smaller space we were disappointed. We decided to keep the booking just to experience it at that point (was canceled since obviously). We are excited for our next cruise, which we booked Havana on Horizon.
