  1. I’m a big fan of hold em(that’s the only reason I go to casinos here at home), and the last 3 carnival ships I have been on only had the electronic table. I don’t recall a tournament. I’m not a fan of the electronic tables at all...not comfortable with them if you know what I’m trying to say...

Yes....I know exactly what you're trying to say! When I played on my last cruise, we had four of a kind twice in three hands, and had so many flopped sets with pocket pairs in hand that it was ridiculous...

  2. Tables can be a cash transaction all day long.

    Slots are a different game.

You can insert cash to begin play but to cash out of the machine (unless things have changed recently) it will only pay out to you S&S card "Casino Account". Then you can play you S&S Casino account for further slot play or you can go to the casino cage and cash out you S&S Casino Account

Your S&S card has 2 separate accounts assigned to it

    1. You door key and all purchases made and charged to your primary account. Everyone on the account can see it on TV or at Guest Services.

    2. When plugged into a slot machine, it becomes your casino account card. Only you can see what is on or in this account. You have a separate PIN that you set up at the first slot machine you sit down to.

It is not associated with your other S&S account UNLESS you want to withdraw funds from your main account into your casino account.

You must go to the casino cage to close out and cash out your casino account.

Okay, got it. That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation! I really appreciate it.

  3. So...I plan on hanging in the casino a fair amount on my upcoming cruise (7 days away! woohoo), because I've heard/read that this is a decent way to help your chances of getting some nice discount offers for future cruises. Plus, I just enjoy a little gambling.

BUT....I don't want to stress my wife out if she sees a bajillion casino transactions and swings on our account summary. I'm assuming you can't just gamble at the tables with cash...? You HAVE to use your S&S account card?

  4. So....wait...you can get in for roughly $20 per person...?

On Carnival's website, we were nearly ready to book this excursion for $85/pp for adults, and $75/pp for our 6 and 9 year old...

Sorry, I'm new at all of this.

  5. I'm confused as to what the port has to do with basketball

Sorry, I added that in there just in case someone didn't remember what ship they were on, thinking that if I mentioned the port it left from it would help jog their memory.

I can't ever remember the names of ships I've been on...but seems like only a handful of Carnival ships leave from each of the ports? Not sure, maybe that's wrong.

Sorry, was just trying to narrow it down for people.

  6. Carnival's website and ship description don't say ANYTHING about basketball. As a matter of fact, if you search 'What ships have this' for basketball, and Carnival Triumph is not listed. But going through photographs, I can CLEARLY see a basketball goal/court. I'm wondering if those are just old photos or something...??

Anyway, my son would be over the moon if there WAS a basketball court. Just wondering if someone has been on Triumph lately and could shed some light on this.

    Thanks in advance!
