I have tried to find an answer to this question but it isn't clear. If I have booked a Spa mini-suite (M9) and upgrade to a Haven category (other than the Haven Spa Suite (H9), will I keep my spa access? I've read that your booked category on your confirmations remains the same when you upgrade, with some upgrade designator added, but this is where it seems to go into a gray area. Has anyone had this scenario? I'm just trying to evaluate the value of a bid if it means I would also have to purchase two spa passes as well. Thanks for the help!

Never tried this but can you get glasses of Pellegrino?
-
To add on to that, Haven restaurant menus have been virtually the same as well. I do like many of the items on the menu, but I would expect SOME kind of a refresh now and then.

Just because YOU don't see something does not, in and of itself, negate that something.
Having one person booked into two different cabins is circumventing the process. Else, you could easily explain why it is not and is actually a normal everyday occurance, right?
Your issue seems to be that you only examine one component at a time while ignoring the entire picture...you literally can't see the forest for the trees.
I don't believe this is correct. If a person wants more space and books adjoining cabins, this is perfectly acceptable and permitted. Just because a novice NCL res agent gets confused by it doesn't mean it's wrong. It's just like a passenger purchasing two seats on a flight. There are no manifest issues that you speak of because the official records acknowledge the exception and proper number of passengers.

Very recent thread says NCL is cutting down/out this loophole.
I believe the example that a PP mentioned was a CC member who booked herself in an aft haven suite and the non haven adjoining cabin. I believe she had 3 guests in the haven cabin although one of them unofficially used the non-Haven cabin. I don't see how this is a loophole. She paid for two cabins and all of the guests were listed in the Haven cabin, so they had access to the Haven. It seems to me there would be no issues with this.

I never thought of this until now. So for example, can we order the Chateaubriand at Le Bistro and not have to pay any extra on UDP? That's great!

Have not seen a decline in butler service, but have noticed increased guest expectations.

I must say I was a bit underwhelmed at today's released renderings. This looks like a sibling of GA/BA, with most features copied over. Granted it's early and like the press release stated there is more to come..., however I wished that this ship had more of it's own flair.

Some of Celebrity's pricing looks very good for these suites, especially considering their new amenities and included beverages. I, for one, am hoping it will encourage more competitive pricing between the lines as there is a now a comparable product. Perhaps NCL will be forced to offer the UDP and UBP as standard Haven level amenities and have that worked into the price.
I love NCL and the Haven but will admit that I am giving X a second glance now!

I was on the Getaway on 9/6 and do not recall ever seeing escargots and chateaubriand on the MDR menus. I believe there was a scallop dish with an escargot "like" preparation.

We felt no movement on her at all. None.
Ditto! Smoothest cruise I have ever been on, and I was in an aft-balcony for the first time.

.....I had the phone number. I was just hoping maestrotim could edit their post so no one would have to read further than the first post to get the info.
Maybe this thread will cut down on Bar Setup questions on here.

I have been very underwhelmed by the pre-concierge service. I called about a moth prior to sailing to inquire about my welcome packet. I also experienced about a 15 minute hold time as described above. The agent told me that it was too early, to expect it about three weeks before sailing. I waited until 2 weeks before sailing and called again, since I hadn't received it. The agent told me it had been sent out about two months before sailing, to my home address. Needless to say, I never received one. I also sent an email to the desk to make some stateroom requests. It was never responded to.
I'm going to have a great cruise no matter what, but NCL really needs to get their act together with this "perk."

I had posted a prior thread about the availability of vermouth in a bar setup and just wanted to post this response I got via email which lists the current NCL bar setup charges and availability as of September 2014. Note I am pasting the email response and editing it from the table layout it was sent to me as...even though this email says the setup cannot be ordered onboard, I have read many posts which say it is possible with an additional 15% auto-gratuitty added to the stated prices.
The bar set-up orders and any other bon voyage amenity orders can be placed with our Reservations Dept. Please call them to place this order by phone since we cannot accept any credit card information via email. (1-800-327-7030). For your convenience, I have provided the price list of all liquors we offer onboard our ships. These items are subject to change. Reminder: Bar set-ups cannot be ordered onboard the ship.
Prices & availability are subject to change. Service fee of $3.00 per bottle will be applied.

Good idea monteman, thx!

Thanks, I hadn't seen it before!!

Does anyone know if vermouth is something you can order in a bar setup? I hadn't seen it on any of the lists that were circulating through the boards. I like to drink Manhattans and it doesn't sound like it would be something they would let me carry on. Maybe by paying corkage, if they consider it wine, which technically it is??

Do any of the beach bars offer secure storage for cameras, etc., in case everybody wants to take a dip?
-
I believe they still have the 10/20/30 promotion going (10% off first service, 20% off 2nd, 30% off third) -- but they need to be their "signature" treatments so a bit of a more limited and pricy selection. Still a pretty good deal if you plan to do a couple of things.

If you try to request the lounger in advance through the pre-cruise concierge, they will tell you that it is not possible. However, your butler will make it happen for you. We had the chair, lounger, and table. Trying to keep 2 chairs would make it *very* cramped.

Thank you for your warm and friendly reply.

Was speaking with my TA and she said that so far she hadn't heard that NCL was doing anything in terms of sales for Black Friday. Anyone here in the "know."? :)

Did I read correctly somewhere (can't find it now) that the Epic Club serves french press coffee? I would love this in the morning...
LATITUDE promo and price/cabin change before final payment
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
I have a reservation for the Dawn next March and am a few days from final payment. Currently have a 2 bedroom suite booked with the LATITUDE promo (monthly insider offer) for an extra point per night. Price on the cabin has decreased, and also the owner’s suite SB cabin is now priced lower than what I am quoted for the SC.
Is there any way I can do either of the following and keep the Latitude promo code (With the extra point it will put be over the qualification for Platinum, so I really want to do that on this cruise):
-Reprice and keep current cabin (SC), or,
-Upgrade to SB cabin
I have read conflicting things on the boards about making a change for the same cruise and if the LATITUDE promo can stay on the booking or not. I do see some posts about NCL “grandfathering” in the Latitude promo as long as the same ship/sailing date is kept. I also see others saying that they price change would constitute a rebook and I would have to take whatever the current promos are. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on what might be possible!
