Only if the refundable option was purchased. They are much more expensive. That's one reason I book my own as I use points.
I think you are incorrect maybe someone who had cruise cancelled by Celebrity can tell us.

If Celebrity cancels the cruise my understanding they will refund cruiseline air

Please stop phoning Celebrity to follow up after you have requested your booking to be cancelled. Patience is a virtue

Your travel agent can do this on line for you if you didn't book directly with Celebrity

So what are they waiting for. I think we all will opt for the FCC instead of refund OntarioCruiser

So where are the spring crossings??????
Ontario Cruiser

That wouldn't make a difference. I have friends on your cruise now
. I emailed them to read CC 3 hours ago.

So what happens to the cruise starting Mar 6th to 23rd. If there were B2B Passengers still on her it could cause a big problem OntarioCruiser.

They should. One of their new letters from Celebrity say FCC for someone who doesn't qualify with the new 70 age guidelines how can they not give full refund if the don't qualify?

We’re booked on the Infinity for a TA starting Apr 25 followed by an 12 day western Med cruise. If the current EU restrictions are kept in place, we’re wondering how X is going to handle excursions at all of the affected EU ports if you are not allowed to initially embark on a cruise if you have visited one of the many EU countries within the past 14 days on the list? Hopefully the CV will be on a massive decline by then, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
We are also booked for the crossing. My husband won't qualify according to the new 70's quidelines. Now we will wait to see if Celebrity cancels the crossing want refund not FCC

This new protocol does nothing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on a Celebrity ship. All of the checking prior to boarding is the same as it was previously. The way I read it is we will probably have the virus on board, either a passenger or crew. We are trying to keep the death rate down by keeping 70+ year olds off the ship.
PS - I am not 70
Then give them a full refund not FCC Ontario Cruiser

I agree, cancel for 60 days. Also getting customers over 70 to get letters from their doctors is ridiculous. Maybe if someone is in this age group they should give them a choice of cash refund or future cruise credit.

So was this sent by Celebrity or the TA on behalf of the customer. What happens if the doctor won't give a note?

I would do it now as you aew going to wait a long time on the phone. If you booked through a travel agent I think you need them to phone or wait a few hours to see if Celebrity is cancelling like Princess for 60 days

The “industry” has its own insurance,

They will lose nothing.
You are correct they do. OntarioCruiser

The policy has been before if the cruiseline cancels not us full refund.
The cruiseline industry unfortunately should cancel some of the cruises.

It is time that Celebrity gives cash refund for customers who are over 80 My husband is 93 & I am 82. What use is FCC.
Now the canadian govt has a travel advisory for cruiselines. I am going to cancel but waiting to see if they cancel our April 25th Infinity crossing and if they give cash refund.
