  1. We disembarked the Brooklyn Cruise terminal this past Saturday October 22nd around 9:45 a.m.  We  stayed on the Enchanted Princess as long as possible because we had a later (2 pm) flight out of Laguardia.  There were some taxis, but there was a very long line of folks waiting for a taxi.  There was another long line of folks waiting for Ubers.  We ended up taking a private car (black suv) to Laguardia.  There were 6 of us that  decided to ride  together and the charge was $20 per person.  There was a lot of stop and go traffic to the airport.  Vehicle was newer, very clean and driver drove safely.  I do not know the name of the car service, but they had several vehicles available for pick up at the port to go to the airport.  I  did notice on the taxi ride from Laguardia to the ship, there was a sticker on the side of the cab with the name of an app. on it.  Our taxi driver said to download the app. and use it to get a taxi from the port to the airport, but I forgot to write down the name of the app.  Taxi from Laguardia to Brooklyn cruise terminal was $38 plus tip. There is a taxi stand outside baggage claim area and there were plenty of taxis available.  I did check with Dial 7 Car Service and they quoted me $190 for 4 people from Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to Laguardia.  Good luck and I hope your transportation from the cruise terminal to the airport goes well.

ship.princess.com when you are on board.  Then add Ocean Concierge to your home page.  You will see an almost identical patter instead of the journey view with is useless.

I have found that SPA events and other "seminars" will show up before your cruise.  Other than that, I have never had entertainment options visible until boarding.

I once shadowed a CD (no ED at that time) around.  S/He had a template ready to go at any given moment that "they" could click and change any given day.  Think teacher planning.  I had to plan for a week/month but could make quick changes as needed.  A good ED will have such a plan, especially if the itinerary repeats.  There is absolutely no reason why they can't publish events ahead of time.

Thank you.  I will definitely check out the on-line patter version on Ocean Concierge once on board.  That will be helpful.

The Medallion App., Journey View, schedule prior to boarding does list the days, times and names of the Broadway shows, two indivudual singers that are scheduled to perform and the comedian on the schedule, so it is helpful--just difficult to read because of the scrolling/moving of the screen.

We are boarding on 11/5 and wonder if anyone might know where to get wheelchair assistance to embark?  Thanks

You can call Princess on the phone or chat with a  customer service rep.  Give them your booking number and which passenger needs a wheelchair and they will add a wheelchair to your embarkation and debarkation.  I did it through their chat option on the Princess website .  It will then be on your travel summary under your personalizer when you print it.

  4. I tried to buy the Medallion internet today on the app for 1 device and the purchase price showed the full price ($69 and change I believe) and said I would receive a 50% discount for being Platinum in obc on board.  I couldn't  get the purchase to go through(received an error message)I chatted with Princess and they said I need to call back tomorrow for assistance.

  5. We will be going there soon also.  I don't know how long your anticipared itinerary will take, so hopefully someone else can answer that question, but I did read there is a free hop on hop off Trolley and the #67 line will take you to the Cliff Walk and Mansions.  I think It is RIPTA and it is called Bellevue Trolley.  They have a website with information.   Had anyone used this free trolley? I am interested in information also, but wanted to share the free Trolley option which we plan to use.

  6. Thanks for your input.  A car service would be nice, but it is pricey.  I will check a price on Princess transfers.  I know a few weeks ago there was a problem with Princess not providing transfers that were booked and paid for from Laguardia to the ship. Folks ended up having to get an Uber or taxi per Cruise Critic posts.  Hopefully, this has been corrected/resolved.

  7. Any recent cruisers' experience/suggestions to get picked up at Brooklyn cruise terminal and driven to Laguardia?  Are taxis readily available at Brooklyn cruise terminal?  If yes, where do you go to get one when you get off the ship?  Are Ubers fairly easy to order without a long wait?  We will have 4 passengers on a Saturday with afternoon flights.  Is it better to get off the ship (Princess) as late as possible--9 a.m. for easier taxi or Uber puck up (less   congestion/people waiting?  I did check with Dial 7 car service and they quoted me $186 which I believe is much more expensive compared to a taxi or Uber?  There have been some postings by other Cruise Critic members that it is difficult to get a cab or Uber with so many people needing one at one time at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.  Recent experience/suggestions are appreciated.  It seems much easier to get a taxi or Uber from Laguardia to the ship, correct?  Thanks in advance.

  8. Thanks for the suggestion of Hampton Inn, Ridgefield Park, NJ.  It sounded great.  I called and they unfortunately only go to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.  We are sailing on Princess out of Brooklyn cruise terminal.  If anyone know of a similar hotel and stay, park and go package, please let me know.  We need one night pre-cruise, parking for 7 nights and a shuttle to Brooklyn cruise pier.  Breakfast would be an extra plus.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

  9. Thanks everyone!  Yes, we have a travel agent.  I called him and he called Princess and he was also told no to an extension of the goodwill fcc.  I just thought I would call myself.  We could potentially do an October New England/Canada cruise out of NYC mid-October on Enchanted.  We have not done a New England cruise.  Has anyone sailed on this 7 day itinerary cruise--Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor, Saint John and Halifax?  Thoughts? Input?  Thanks!

  10. We have a fcc that is a goodwill credit expiring 12/31/22.  We have a cruise booked leaving on 1/7/23.  I just spoke with a Princess customer service representative and asked for an extension of the fcc to use for payment of the January 7th cruise.  She said they never extend goodwill fcc.  Any success getting this type of fcc extended?  Very frustrating.
