  1. Well, it has been a week since we rebooked at the higher fare to get the promotion and it still is not showing up on the website....we sail in 4 days. My TA finally said today that it is too late to have it show and to get our butler to help us with this once we get on board. I hope we don't end up having tp spend our first day(s) in a long line at guest relations for this. Wondering how the folks on board Silhouette this week are faring.

I booked 4 cruises with the 123 Go sale, of the 4, 2 of the promotions have showed up online a few weeks ago and the other two still have not shown up, even though they were all booked on the same day. The interesting thing is, for all 4 cruises, if I go into beverage packages, and follow through to buy any of them, it shows the price as $0 (FYI - I also upgraded all 4 cruises to Premium), so my guess is the system knows I already have the Premium package? The two that have shown up only say Classic Beverage Package and make no mention of the upgrade to premium.

  2. Please forgive me for asking this question, I really don't want to read all 960 posts to find the answer. We have the classics package on the 123 Go promo and some of us want to upgrade to premium. In the past, it has been fine to do that once you board the ship. From what I'm gathering by reading this last page of posts, it might be more of an advantage to upgrade now? I am wondering if there is a discounted price to do the upgrade right away, rather than wait until we board the ship in Jan. 2014?

No, the price is the same (just the difference in price between the two). There is really no advantage to doing it now, but originally it sounded like you needed to confirm you wanted to upgrade during the promotion period, but the most recent update from Celebrity in their thread (the sticky one at the top of the board) seems to say you can upgrade on the boat if you want. I'm not sure of that, but that is how I read their answers.

  3. So, my cruise booked on January 10 through a TA now shows the beverage package online on the side under "My Cruise Extras". SO it looks like they are working their way through. My other 2 cruises booked on the same day don't show it yet. When I click on it, it shows both of our names and $0 cost.

    Online it says:

    Beverage Package

    Wave Promo - Classic Package

    Purchased

We asked to upgrade to the Premium and my TA confirmed that, does anyone's have any mention of premium or give them a way to upgrade?

Thanks for everyone putting great information on this thread - definitely helps with my nervousness!

    Sue

  4. I will read the rest of the thread but so far haven't seen the answer to this question:

Is the 'upsell' from the classic drinks package to the 'premium' $10 pp per day? (That is the price difference between the two packages on their website.) Thanks.

Yes, the upgrade to premium is $10 per day plus the 15% gratuity on that difference, so it works to $11.50 per person per day. The upgrade isn't a deal per say, just the listed price difference between the Classic and the Premium. So you get the Classic for free and they let you upgrade to the Premium for the price difference.

  5. No prob! Happy to help - and I was just as surprised to see it on there, except for the fact that it was only for me and not my husband. (Kinda concerning? Oh well! At least I have free drinks! :D )

But it's marked for both of us with the upgrade to premium on my invoice, so I figure all is good.

Thanks for posting that! I'm glad to see it showed up. I hope that is the case for everyone.

Did you book directly with Celebrity?

Someone mentioned having an option to pay for the upgrade in the "beverage package" section. Now that yours is posted, I'm wondering if you have that option?

    Thanks again.

    Sue

  6. My comp'd beverage package showed up on the Celebrity site today, but just for one of us.

Hi, I appreciate the update, I'm kind of nervous about this whole thing. I changed 3 cruises around for this so I want to make sure it works out!

When you say it "showed up" can you tell me what that means. Is it showing under "extras". If you go into beverage packages, does it give you the option to pay for the upgrade? When did you book?

    Thanks for any info.

    Sue

  7. My understanding is you have to confirm you want the upgrade during the 123 Go promotion but that you don't have to pay for it until you are on board, or you can pay before if you want. The upgrade has to be done through your TA. We can't pay the upgrade yet (we tried) as it isn't technically on our account, but our TA has confirmed the free classic package with the upgrade to Premium has been noted on our booking. Our invoices show WAV7-PREM BEV.

The upgrade fee works out to $11.50 per person per day, so for 2 weeks you should have to pay a total of $322 for the upgrade. ($10 plus $1.5 gratuity)

  8. In my booking under 'Beverage Packages' there appeared a link called 'Classic to Premium Package Upgrade', and I was able to select that and pay the extra fee to upgrade to the premium package, paying only the difference between the two.

Under My Cruise Extras it now has the following:

    Beverage Package

    Classic to Premium Package UpgradePurchased

    Hi,

Thanks for this update. Did you book through Celebrity directly or through a TA? When did you get the 123 promotion added (i.e. trying to figure out how long it took for that to show up). Thanks for any further information.

    Sue

  9. I apologize if this has been answered (I searched) . Can I transfer my booking that I have directly through Celebrity to a TA and still retain my 123 promotion? Thanks for any help.

I think so, as long as you are before final payment. I did it, I cancelled with Celebrity and rebooked with my TA (and my final payment date is next Monday), but that being said, I still don't "technically" have confirmation as they say it takes 10 days for the beverage package to be added to your reservation. What I did, and what I suggest you do, is call the TA and get their 100% confirmation it will work first and then call Celebrity and get their confirmation as well before you proceed.

  10. Thanks for your quick response Host Andy.

So, as an update, I called my TA and she said 100% for sure it will work and I called Celebrity and they said cancelling and rebooking with my TA would be no problem and that I could get the 123 Go sale still and they cancelled my booking without any issue.

I am now rebooked through my TA and she confirmed I got the Classic Beverage Package with the premium upgrade for the 123 Go sale and prepaid gratuities from my TA. As an FYI, my room was the exact price we had previously paid, so no loss there.

I'm not 100% sure if this was worth the stress at this point, I won't stop worrying about it until I have confirmation of the beverage package being applied and I lost my 8:30 dining and I'm now on the wait list. We have friends with us that have the 8:30 dining so I hope that works out! Totally didn't think about that when I was looking at doing this. Anyone have any thoughts on the chance of getting into the 8:30 dining before April?

So, it appears to have worked, but anyone looking to do this, I would take Host Andy's advice and call Celebrity and have them confirm first and have a very good assurance from your TA! Way too much stress!

  11. Has anyone tried cancelling their reservation made directly with Celebrity and immediately rebooking with a TA? Can you do that and still get the 123 Go promotion? The room would be the same price, but the TA is offering prepaid gratuities, so I could get the beverage package deal from Celebrity and the gratuities from the TA.

To make it more complicated, the original booking was made onboard, and with only the $200 reduced deposit. Can I cancel that and get a full refund?

    Thanks for any help.

  12. Agreed there seems to be inconsistency on how this is applied. From the post a few above the person said their room had gone up by $800 but they were able to apply the sale and got the beverage package without rebooking and paying the increased price. Celebrity wouldn't do that for us. We are before final payment but our room had gone up by $1200, so we had to downgrade in order to take advantage of the sale and not pay more for the room! Oh well, I'm still really happy we did it, saved $600 on the room by downgrading and $1400 on the beverage package (we had already bought the premium for $1700 ish, so that is refunded and we have to pay $322 for the upgrade back to premium).

  13. I understand if it was just an existing reservation with a deposit only you would need to pay the current rate. Are you saying that if you have paid the cruise in full at a lower rate then you would need to pay more at this time to take advantage of this offer?

Yes, but only if you are not past final payment. I am not past final payment but I paid in full. When I called yesterday, he said he could get me the deal, but I would have to cancel and rebook at the room current prices (which are over $1400 more than I paid and I lose my $300 OBC - so I didn't do it as in the end I would have ended up paying more).

  14. Our details state the following:

    Stateroom: 9579 Category: N

    Two lower beds.

Not category JJ! I would really like to know for sure. Should I just call NCL directly?

We were on the Jewel on October 30. We booked an AG guarantee and were assigned room 11612 (which is AF according to the deck plans) but our online information still showed AG with room 11612. So, I would not worry about it and just know that you have the room number set out. I think they leave the indication of the guarantee you booked.

    Have a great cruise.
