What excuse .? a federal bang on the glass clause ? What Federal industry safety standards.? What glass - less windows ? It's a ship so Maritime Law , there was a hand rail of correct height as to not be able to fall over with a window with tinted glass open for ventlation in a bar area serving alachol. The 0ne year old could not ask to be picked up and dangled over the handrail out a open window. and dropped. Children are to be supervised at all times by a responsible adult, this did not happen.

I'm 100% with you.  I just don't get what is making them fight this, and why I asked "Does this crazy toddler safety standard exist that the family attorney is trying to claim??". Especially if they knew there was the "REAL" video floating around that would further prove how reckless the Grandfather was.  So basically their logic is "Everything should be idiot proof, so these accidents don't happen"    WOW....might has well throw a cage around the entire ship and make us feel like we are in jail b/c heaven forbid an idiot find a way to hurt themselves or others.  *face in palm*

  2. With the current video released, it's hard to use the "bagging on the glass" excuse now.

So next would if there is a "federal industry toddler safety standard" that RCI broke by having these glass-less windows?  To me that is the only viable thing this attorney and family have at this point.

Also, what will this new video play in the negligent homicide case against the GF?

  3. I feel horrible for the family.  I don't think the Grandpa ever intended for that to happen, however I do believe he made a bad judgement call.  Unfortunately, they were lead to believe that RCI should be held responsible for what happened, and that's why they're now being dragged in the mud.  I hope this makes people realize there are cameras EVERY WHERE now.  Especially to those scumbag lawyers who exploit people for publicity and their own greed.

Book now...you can reprice later.  NextCruise is only going to gain you a little OBC and you might as well lock in the price now.

You can shop around for your TA.  There's no obligation..see what different incentives they have to offer and pick which works best for you.

I'm thinking the same thing..especially since the cost per person, per day is under $100.00

  5. Hello CC

We are currently looking to book a cruise for April 4 2021, Explorer out of Miami; 9 day'er

We have 3 families that want to join.  Total of 5 rooms.

Should we go through TA for added perks?  Regarding perks w/ TA: Will the perks be divided up or does it go to one booking?

Another question:  We will be sailing on RCL in April 2020. Should we wait to book on Next Cruise or should we book now?

    Thank you!

  6. They have rejected the photos I included on two cruises now so I dont even bother anymore. (When doing precheck in online)  Also, my youngest likes to do this weird smile that has the crew people always chuckling when they scan his cruise card.   I'd like to note the RCL has always let him do that smile but Carnival wont.  LOL

This is very confusing to me. There was a recent thread about a 20yr old and and 19yr not being able to share a room unless they were next-door to the parents or guardian. Now I read that it was or is acceptable to leave a 12-17yr old unsupervised on the ship while the parents are in port? I'm not judging the kid's or parents. I'm judging Royal Caribbean. What happens if for some reason the parents get detained and the ship sails without them? The two rules are very contradicting.

I'm so with you on this...this was my EXACT thoughts when encountering this cruisers situation over the other cruiser with the 19 & 20 year old.

    Pretty comical actually.

I have a 16 year old and 12 year old.  I pay for the cruise so they gotta go every where we want to go while cruising.  That's just the rules.  Until they can afford to pay for themselves, they get to endure their Dad and I.  We have no problem leaving them at home so they know don't be that kid.  OP - you're nicer parents than us!

Stay away from Pineapples... unless you are into that kind of thing 😉

DO place a pineapple dressed up as a ghost on any friends/family doors that are up for a good laugh.

    Just not yours

  9. We couldn't watch NBA games during our cruises on Allure or Oasis in May/June.  Wonder if they changed that since we sailed them last...  Regardless we are happy to read that we now can actually watch sports in the Playmakers Sports Bar.  (that was our running joke with the bartenders every time someone would come in and ask if they could watch xyz team play on xyz sports channel; "sorry no sports to be watched in this sports bar")

  10. SAME - I also want to know what people do with all of these videos and pictures they are constantly "shooting"  Oh wait..they posted it on their IG stories and have about 100 different "stories" of the same crap thinking we all want to flip through that!  LOL at the poster who mentioned firework shows too.  LOL
