  1. This Escape Ems Conveyance youtuve video does double duty. Gives us a preview of the upcoming Bliss Conveyance and at 1:43 minutes into the video you get a good look at the deck 8 angled balconies :)

I'm hoping someone can help me out here - I'm booked on the Bliss 6/2019 and I have one of these angled balconies booked #8738. DOES anyone know if the noise from the theater just below is really loud for these rooms? I do want some peace and quiet and I have read mixed reviews some say it is really loud and some say it is not. Also, I did see a YouTube video of this cabin and there is 2 loungers and 2 chairs on the deck - Do you know if that will stay the same as this is the same class ship as the Escape? PLEASE HELP ME - THANK YOU IN ADVANCE ;p It is going to be a long year form me....

  2. I'm booked on cabin 8738 on the Bliss and I would like to know you can hear the theatre nose from below? I'm not sure if I should change cabins - I do want some quiet.

Also, in the video of these cabins it appears that there are 2 loungers and chairs on the balcony - Is this accurate on all Breakaway Plus class ships?

I mainly need to know if it is loud in this room - help ...

  3. I have never heard you can not bring them. Below is the link to prohibited items. We took them on our last Disney cruise, and they dont work very well on board. If you are on deck they are ok, but inside was bad at best. For NCL we use the app to make calls/text to each other and just carry our cell phones, it works most of the time.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

  4. MIXED READINGS HERE - I have a question, I know this is for "If I had only known" however, once the reply is here this will help me and others....;)

I have not cruised in over 10 years - I am booked on The Bliss and I want to bring walkie talkies for my son to carry with him so that I can reach him.

1.) Can I bring them on board? - I have read there is a "naughty line" and I don't want to be in it if I can't bring them.

2.) Will they work on board - they are a very good brand (expensive actually)?

    Help

  5. But they DO have a heating element and would be confiscated (i.e., you bag sent to the naughty room and you spend a couple of hours in line with all of the others with contraband).

Guess I didn't think about that - Just trying to help! I love my coffee.....

  6. I am currently booked for an inside room, so no coffee maker stocked. Would it be insane to bring my own mini Keurig?

After re-reading what you CANT bring - I think you might be ok bringing the mini keurig as those DON'T HAVE a warmer/hot plate with them. Just a thought.

  7. This is from the unallowable list on the NCL faq:

Items brought on board the vessel and not supplied by the Company containing any kind of heating element, such as but not limited to: immersion heaters, heating blankets, clothing irons, water heaters, coffee machines with heating/hot plates, etc.

You are a rock star!!!! Thank you!

  8. Extra coffee (pre-packaged flat pods, available at many supermarkets, not the K-cup ...) and setup of creamer/sugar, etc. are complimentary via your RS.

In addition to a direct cash "incentive" for service, I recommend filling up a "Vacation Hero" Card & drop that off at Guest Services toward the end of the cruise (box is marked ... typically, for the Hotel Director & housekeeping) - with a note about the exceptional services given, etc.

These are very meaningful and useful to the crew in more ways than one, including time-off when docked in port, special meal, etc.

Thank you for mentioning the "shout out" on the card, I will absolutely do that - thank you!!!! Do you know if I can bring a full size coffee maker on board?

  9. I am currently booked for an inside room, so no coffee maker stocked. Would it be insane to bring my own mini Keurig?

This is a good question! I don't have the answer - so hopefully someone will chime in with it; however, I did watch a YouTube video of "What Not To Pack" for your cruise and this guy said NO coffee pots are allowed to be brought on the ship. NOW - I'm not sure how old that video was or if it is accurate.

I want to bring a full size coffee maker - so if anyone has the 100% accurate answer as to whether or not coffee pots can be brought on that would be great!!!!:)

  10. With the dining package, you can eat at Cagney’s, Teppanyaki, Moderno, Le Bistro and Cucina at no charge, your tip already included. Order anything on the menus (one entree) and multiple appetizers. You get three nights at any of these restaurants. If you choose Ocean Blue, there is a $15 upcharge plus on of your three nights of dining.

For example we have the 3 night dining package and eat at Cagney’s, Teppanyaki and Cagney’s with no extra charge, tip included.

You state that you get to eat 1 entrée and multiple appetizers. So I can really order 3 appetizers and will not be charged additional for them?

  11. We have a mid-ship balcony that will have a coffee pot. If I ask our steward to leave several coffee packets every day is there an additional cost on my bill or are these "free" with our room minus the extra tip I would give the steward. My husband and I drink a lot of coffee.

On the same lines can I bring my own coffee pot (bigger) on board?

  12. Kids used to get 50% off but it hasn't been that way for years. Their charge is the same as adults. 12 and under are no charge if they order off the kid's menu which does not include specialty restaurant meals.

Thank you - I have been racking the web for an absolute answer - I'm going to have to get my son a dining plan as well then :) :)

  13. I read on an old Escape Dailey (found by Goodling) that at the specialty restaurants if children (my son will be 10) order off of the adult menu the cost would be 50% off. IS THIS TRUE? does anyone know this answer. How children are charged in specialty restaurants.

Please help :) I have the specialty package for my husband and I - but I'm taking a gamble on my son wanting to eat free off of the children's menu - but he likes good food too ;)

  14. Sounds like you keep asking for someone to verify that your poor planning (i.e., zero buffer for debarkation problems OR land issue in an often congested city like Seattle) is OK so that you can spend a few dollars less on airfare. That someone may have made the connection previously says zilch.

Any seasoned air traveler will agree that a 10:30 AM flight out is lunacy.

I did put quite the reply here - but I erased it. Have a blessed day.

  15. The Porter will be outside of the port, collecting bags. Yes, you tip them when you hand them your bags. And NO, there is no specific time that the bags will be delivered. They had to deliver all those bags to rooms so no set time. The ship will make an announcement of when your room is ready but that doesn't mean your bags will be there.

What I would do is put a change of clothes, a swim suit if you want one, ANY MEDICATION, glasses, personal items etc or anything super valuable in your carry on.

I would also do some searching on the internet, on how being a first time cruiser. Looks like you need a lot of help.

Thank you - I'm going to watch some you tube videos

  17. SELF Assist means you have to carry ALL of your luggage off the ship. This could mean taking it down stairs too.

Also, unless you are ONLY bringing a carry-on. Check your luggage with a porter. Tip them a couple bucks and you will see your luggage at your room when its delivered. They don't want all 4k passengers taking their luggage thru the halls to find out the steward is cleaning and you cant drop it off.

When you say "check bags with a porter" is the porter there when we sign in at the port to get on the ship? what time will they deliver them to the room? Do you tip them immediately? Is it $2/bag?

I do know self assist is carrying luggage off - my question with this is the debarkation time - do self assist people just go to the gangway at 6 a.m. to get in line to go through customs? Thank you....

  18. If everything worked perfectly in this definitely not perfect world, you might make your early flight. I wouldn't try it, since any one of many things that could go wrong might happen. We once sat several hours waiting for the ship to clear customs. A passenger had died the last day out, and that slowed things down.

Oh my stars, that is horrible  - thank you for the reply!!!!
