If they were blasting it, YES. We have had this problem on a ship but the music was so loud you could hear it on the balcony, hallway and through the walls. One guy pounded on the door then got security. I love most kinds of music. I bring head phones.

WOW, such an amazing trip. Glad you had a great time.

We added the 3 meal plan so we now have 6. It only came out to about 27$ per meal. Great deal if you compare the ala cart prices.

I knew this was coming but it is always a bit of a surprise when benefits are reduced or changed. We were on the Pearl Mar 3-10. No longer does each PP Latitude member get 2 le Bistro dinners with a bottle of wine. Now it's one dinner at Cagney's or le Bistro and the other dinner is at Moderno or La Cuccina. I think you are limited to 1 bottle of wine. Also 1 bag of free laundry per cabin and it used to be 2. Seems the new CEO keeps chipping away at all the benefits. We've been on close to 18 NCL cruises and this is the first time our Cagney's dinner was awful. Service very bad and the usual filet was tough. Sat for over 45 minutes before the soup came and then the entrée came almost an hr later. Our reservations were at 7 and a bit after 9 we left before coffee and dessert. A lady came over and asked if all was ok and I said no as we have waited so long. The restaurant was close to empty! New staff and they didn't know which end was up. The lady did give us another voucher but we didn't use it at Cagneys and Cagney's used to be our favorite! ( sigh )
Sad to hear. Hope we have better luck on our upcoming cruise as I booked it first night and last.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. I agree on the pool and the smoke. We board in 5 days.

I would only go to Disney World unless I had a minimum of 10 days.

Don't think I can drink 15 in one day. We will see next week.

They go on the Gem about once a month....they've done this itinerary countless times (just 2 weeks ago...and this cruise is in April). They barely leave the ship. I'm the one with all the plans, shopping, excursions, casino, gym etc.
They basically eat, get dressed up and dance.
Sounds like you will make their cruise more enjoyable. Have a great time. I would love it our friends did this.

Touch wood, have never had a problem.

The 2 NCL ships that cruise out of NY on March 19 Are the Breakaway (we will be on her) and the Gem. I wish it were going to Boston first as we will be there for a conference until the 18. Wouldn't need to do 2 trains. Both ship are round trip NY.

On the Escape, we had two loungers, a small table and a chair. We also had the same cabin on the Getaway as well, so my guess is that it will be the same on the Breakaway.
Have fun!!
Awesome, Thanks.

If you are talking about the cruise itself, yes, they were all amazing. Last cruise, 2 years ago MIL was sick and we almost canceled.

If you do a mock booking, when you select a cabin, it will tell you if the bed is by the balcony or the closet.
FYI, in 9134, the bed is by the balcony - we were in that one last year.
That is our cabin # in Breakaway next week. Did you have loungers?

Have you done your on board check in? If so are you e docs ready? Mine are on the docs. Plus a bunch of extra stuff. Not sure what it all is.

The Haven Spa suites are the best deal IMO. They are the cheapest Haven rooms, and you get spa access thrown in for free. The nice thing about the Escape Haven Spa rooms is you have a private entrance to the spa - the door at the end of the hallway that looks like a crew door, is really your backdoor in. It's a nice little perk if you don't want to walk all of the way around to the main spa entrance....I'm lazy like that lol
Spa balcony and mini suits on breakaway also have a secret entrance. They won't tell you about it.

Tough one. Just looked at the deck plans but they don't show it. On Breakaway they have the bump out or in on the deck plans so it is easier to figure out. Google your cabin number and see if anything comes up. Sometimes people do reviews on specific cabins. I found a couple of reviews on mine. If not go over two rooms and google that room.

And you can throw a luggage tag on them and they will be delivered to your room. No need to carry them on board.

We had a spa balcony on BA. We have done the spa on HAL, RCCL and Celebrity. BA would come in last but it is a relaxing place most of the time. If you are considering it check to see the difference in price to get the spa balcony.

So I am catching up with today Monday on our first sea day. Late breakfast and didn't check the M&G time so we were late instead of early. Nice weather and spent several hours on a sun deck above the pool. Plenty of chairs and there is a bar. I guess it is considered 17 since we took the elevator to 16 and walked up. The Escape has a mister area but I don't see one on the Getaway. We kept breakfast small for cruising but bigger than a normal one. Ditto for lunch since supper was Moderno as part of our dining package. We we sat on our tiny balcony and watched for flying fish. This balcony is noticeably smaller than any others. Enjoyed the salad bar at Moderno and we were too full for much meat but tried most of it. Did some bar hops at night to catch live music. Back to the Sugarcane and then to Fat Cats.

This is where my love for HAL comes in. Amazing chefs and cooking classes.

You'd have to dangle way more than lobsters, room service and free internet in front of me to turn my head.

7-Day Cruise with nothing but the clothes on our back?
in Norwegian Cruise Line

If they are sailing out of NY they will winter cloths. I don't like taking a coat in March and usually avoid it. Doesn't look like it this time. It's freezing.
