  1. For between $60-100 Carnival will sell you a host of benefits called faster to the fun.

    You get priority boarding

    Immediate access to your cabin

    Priority line at guest services

Priority tendering (if applicable; only leaving not returning)

If it has value is up to you

Oh, ok Thank You, Faster To The Fun...dah....I thought possibly "Forget The Toothpaste Frank"

  2. Thank you very much. Are you saying that unless you are booked in a spa/cabin you are not allowed to use the special saunas/whirl pool hot tubs inside the spa...whow that seems strange.[/quote

You can buy a pass for the spa area if you are not in a spa cabin. Access to the spa area is included with a spa cabin.

Other ships that have the Cloud 9 Spa area are Horizon, Vista, Sunshine and Splendor.

Ok, that sounds more reasonable. Thanks for explaining.Do you know if it is something I can prepurchase or do we have to wait until we board? Are the extra amenities worth it....do they any special thermal pool? TIA

  3. Cloud 9 Spa, with passes and extra amenities, is not available on the Glory. It's a great ship, though!

Thank you very much. Are you saying that unless you are booked in a spa/cabin you are not allowed to use the special saunas/whirl pool hot tubs inside the spa...whow that seems strange.

  4. First time Carnival Cruiser. Besides the specialty spa treatment options, does Carnival offer any type of spa usage or experience for the length of the cruise....Perhaps specialty hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms and often have a quite relaxation area only for pass holders.. that are only accessed thru a "package or pass"...on other ships they can be purchased by the day or the length of the cruise. We are sailing on the Glory...and 1st want to know if this is an option and 2nd...is it worth it. Thanks so much

  5. In April we took the Transatlantic Cruise with Norwegian (our first Norwegian) I seem to remember a special they were offering regarding deposits for a future cruise. I believe they matched your deposit (maybe up to $1,000.00) You had to make this deposit during the cruise if I remember correct. Does anyone know if this is something they offer on all their cruises or just because the one we were on was a 14 day cruise. Im thinking I may want to book a little cheapo 3 day cruise just to take advantage of what I think they may offer for any deposits while on a cruise. If I can turn $1,000.00 into $2,000.00 it might be worth it. Remember now...Im not 100% sure if this 'was" the offer but I know it had something to do with doubling a deposit. Thanks so much for any light you can shed on this.

Another question...if I may...when do cruise lines..specifically Norwegian post their new sailing dates...how far out? Again, thank you for taking the time.

  6. When there's not an entree that I'm really interested in, some nights I'll a make meal out of 4-5 appetizers, soups, salads, and/or the appetizer size pasta.

Thank you, I love ordering appetizers only...and do it often. I think this is the way I should go. Thank you for taking the time.

  7. I think what they are referring to is there are some entree courses which always are available as a starter. I personally know the pasta entree is one such offering available in a starter portion. I have never heard this option is available to most or all of the other entrees, e.g. they don't serve a mini flat iron steak or 1/3 third portion of the salmon or chicken from the grill that are always available.

Yes, I totally understand they would never ruin a 14 oz steak because someone wants to " just try a small one "...i understand the same for portioned items ...i would never expect that and would never ask. Thinking more of just the pasta dishes. Thank you for your info...much appreciated

  8. Hi...this is concerning GLORY but maybe its the same with other Carnival ships. Main Dining Room Question: Just watched a few recent YouTube videos: Travel Bloggers: Anyway, they say that Carnival does allow you to still order what ever you like from the menu (NOT just 1 app,1 salad,1 entrée, 1dessert)….it was mentioned that you can order smaller portions (appetizer size) of EVERYTHING, including entrees. We own a catering co. and are foodies so we love to try everything and this appears to be a nice way to do just that.... reflecting our trip to Spain and getting to enjoy a variety of "tapas" or small bites. We are not wasteful (although I seem to always be "waist-full" ) and certainly hate when I see food being thrown away and people piling stuff on their buffet plates and only eat a small portion. Years ago I know cruise waiters would always want you to order several entrees and were bringing food left and right...I understand this is no longer the case but has anyone ever asked for smaller portions of several entrees? I never thought to do this with our last cruise (NCL) as I hate to make more work for the chefs but there were so many things I wanted to try but didn't want to feel like I was taking advantage of the cruise line. Thoughts? I know this makes more work for the waiters and always give them extra gratuity ...but...I want to try ALL the food.

  9. A lot of people don't like sea days, a 14 night back to back might have only 4 sea days. We like transatlantics because of sea days. Our upcoming Symphony transatlantic has 2 port stops over 12 nights. We have a 18 night transpacific booked for 2020 with 11 sea days. Perfect for us.

do you mind sharing the dates on this cruise as it sounds like what we are looking for (18 night/transpacific)...where are you leaving from? Thanks so much

  10. First Time Princess ...Caribbean 7 Days in Oct. Does anyone know the cost of the spa for a full week....is it called the Sanctuary? Is it worth it..Thermal Pools, Saunas? Heated Chairs? Im making this my El Cheapo quicky cruise...will be fine with an inside cabin IF the additional Sanctuary/Spa is worth it...if not I will be going for balcony or mini suite. For some reason it will not give me a price until I book the cruise which I don't want to do until I find out about the spa package. Thanks so much for any other info you can share with a first time Princess cruiser.....any floors to avoid.

  11. Does anyone know approximate hours of the casino AND on another thread it was mentioned that $200.00 was the most you could take out of ATM. Is that $200.00 per day or the whole cruise as I would think it would depend on your own bank. Thanks for any help. Do they have penny and nickel slots or nickel and higher only

  12. Just got notified they upgraded us from Deck 8 to Deck 11 Forward Mid Aft. Mini Suite ($50.00)....not a huge difference but at least its a bit more room...I'm so happy!! Fingers Crossed that after the Sun fiasco they will be on their toes and leave all the construction work until after we dock in Barcelona. I'm going to think positive!!!
