Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Excuse the naivete, but I am completely forgetting how it works. When do we choose our disembarkation time? I looked through my e-docs and there is nothing there about a disembarkation group. We want to self-assist to get off as early as possible for a flight - when do we sign up for that so that we are not assigned to a group? Again, please be nice - new cruiser.
  2. And to further complicate things - the Sail Safe page was just updated yesterday and now there is NO testing requirement listed under Europe... sooo I guess that means we just have to abide by NCL's testing requirement which is three days prior?
  3. I agree that it is all very confusing and stressful for those of us travelling, especially internationally!
  4. This is what it shows on the NCL Sail Safe portion of the website regarding the tests: All vaccinated guests age 12 and older: must provide proof of negative NAAT test (I.e. PCR) or antigen test taken within 72 hours prior to embarkation. Testing at the terminal will not be facilitated. (Please refer to below for additional requirements for Greece & Israel) For sailings departing from Greece: In addition to above testing requirements, all guests must additionally provide proof of negative antigen test within 24 hours prior to embarkation. This test will be paid for and administered by Norwegian Cruise Line. It clearly says "or antigen test....."
  5. I just checked our summary and it denotes that we purchased 2 unlimited internet upgrades. You could probably go back through your emails and find the email where you purchased it - that's what I did.
  6. I thought the one 72 hours prior to boarding could be PCR OR Antigen?
  7. Yay! Happy for you TPS! Any drink package right, as in those that elected the free at sea package and didn't upgrade to the premium?
  8. But it did have some issues on its first two trips of the year from Athens.
  9. I understand your point, but we book through NCL. We pay NCL - it seems it is their responsibility to alert us to changes in Greek laws.
  10. Are you on Gem rjmols? Fingers crossed for you! Let us know!
  11. Well that is another reason people are upset with NCL. We have not received any official communication from them on this issue, so when people have tried to verify - they have not made that possible. The closest thing, for me at least, is the report from the Captain currently on the Gem.
  12. Well it is becoming apparent that it is not Greece - it is NCL not having the correct paperwork filed for the Gem. If it was Greece and ALL cruise ships (and lines) were affected, I don't think anyone would be blaming NCL.
  13. Thank you so much for this update TPS! NCL would be so much better off just admitting the problem so that all of us can quit speculating! Facebook and CC are going rogue on this topic as people are very upset (as they should be!). I would absolutely raise a formal complaint if I were on the Gem right now. I am on the Jade in three weeks and stressing about it - even though it has largely been reported it is not an issue on Jade anymore, still makes me nervous. People (us included) pay so much money for these cruises and we want it to be truly "all-inclusive." Thank you again very much for your post.
  14. Thanks for this post. Wish NCL would just come out with a statement with transparency about all of this.
