Princess' website seems to be having all sorts of problems, atleast for this Canadian. I can't get any further than choosing a cabin before getting an error message (all day, no matter the device, clearing my cache or using a private browser), and if I change my search to include Plus the price goes up from anywhere between $80 per day (normal) to $110 per day (totally wrong). I guess I'll keep waiting for an acceptable price because YIKES the price per day is 50% higher than it was a year ago!!

Same here.  I think my Feb 2025 Discovery Princess cruise dropped a bit, but I can’t get passed picking a cabin, so guess I’ll be calling Princess to check.  My 2026 14 day on Majestic Princess did go up quite a bit though and I didn’t have to go far to see that.

  2. I just finished a cruise on Discovery Princess.  Did one previous cruise about eight or nine years ago pre medallion and this time, I really liked using the medallion as opposed to a card. I just booked another cruise and wonder if I need to order a new medallion.  I presume I can reuse the lanyard, but is the medallion reusable (can Princess reset it) or is it a one time only thing?

  3. I have only done one cruise on Princess, but have another booked for January 2024. I found Princess “quieter” than Carnival - no constant loud announcements, etc.  Loved the International Cafe on Princess.  Room on Princess seemed smaller than Carnival, but I cruise solo, so that wasn’t a big problem for me.

Well....do not like that part that says work in the port put off until January....sounds bad....

The ship is docked here in Victoria at Ogden Pier.  This is where cruise ships normally dock during cruise season.  The dock was supposed to undergo regular maintenance but it was put off until January so Panorama could dock there now.

  5. I haven’t done a Caribbean cruise for several years, mainly been doing Alaska and Mexican Riviera.  I’m looking at doing a b2b (6 day/8 day) in January 2025 or 2026.  I’m trying to decide between Vista from Port Canaveral and Magic from Miami.  Both itineraries are the same, prices pretty close.  Vista is a bit more, but not enough to really be the deciding factor.  I usually go with an ocean view cabin.

For those who have sailed both ships, what are your thoughts?  Thanks.

"I am pleased to say that we will be changing the VIFP Diamond and Platinum gift over to Fanny Packs (Bum Bags) for voyages starting after 4/6 for all ships other than Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Splendor which will continue to give the koozies until the new gifts arrive Down Under.
And next up after this will be the Tote Bag with the same Logo.
This is still to be collected from the pixels photo gallery. However, I have asked my colleagues to consider an immediate return to having it delivered to the cabin but I don’t have confirmation of this yet."

May be an image of purse and text that says 'VIFP CLUB'

No last one was 7 years ago but we did anytime dining so wasn’t sure what the rules were.  Thanks again!

Also, if you are seated with others, and you know in advance you won’t be at dinner the next night (you have specialty restaurant reservations, for example), please let the servers know so the other diners aren’t waiting for you.

Since I cruise solo most of the time and pay double for my cabin I would like to receive credit for those two fares not just one.

Me, too.  Princess does it.  I've never understood why Princess can but Carnival can't.  They are both under the Carnival Corp. umbrella.

  9. I use wheelchair assistance when I fly and they will take you to pick up your luggage, then take you just outside.  I thought some services were allowed to pick up right at that location, but with construction at LAX, that may have changed.  Check with the limo or service you choose.

My apologies. You will have seen that we no longer have full bottle liquor sales available on pre order. Hard liquor is no longer available for pre-order on our Fun Shops. All existing sales will be honored and guests can still pre-order up to two bottles of wine for onboard delivery and consumption.
You can still of course purchase from the shops on board and ashore and these of course are not for use on board. I know this maybe frustrating for a few of you but I am sure everyone will understand why we need to do this. Cheers
