Get vaccinated so you can still wear a mask around forever.. CDC overreach at it's finest.
If EVERYBODY was vaccinated no one would need a mask.

If Everyone was vaccinated, there would be no need for masks. I can't wait for that.

Sorry to say ,the Tequila Museum has closed. For the most fun, get out of the port and make your way to Mahahual. BUT avoid El Faro like the plague , the will over charge you!

Yes, the Malecon is pedestrian only? You drive on the parallel road just behind the shops and bars. Parking is easy , as you will be waved in at many shops to park in back. All the shops are open, The Krazy Lobster seems to have expanded into a shop that went under. We also toured/drove around the entire town, and even ventured on the dirt road at the end of the Malecon. And Yes, I simply enjoy driving golf carts!

We agree with The Krazy Lobster, they run a good and honest place. They had beers for $2.00. However we were greatly over charged next door at El Faro. $99.00 for a bucket of 5 beers , 3 margaritas and 1shot of tequila. We were shocked, but I was in vacation mode and just ordered without a menu. We paid , then as we were walking away I asked another waiter about the price of the beers. He told me $3.50, so I asked him why I was charger $8. It turns out he was the manager and called our waiter over and made him go into his pocket and give us back $20.00.
.Here is a picture of El Faro, you would do best to avoid!

Dont rent from the cruise line, go to Mayahaul Golf Cart rentals! They wear Red shirts just inside the entrance. Great price and great service. They are the locals and their place is just down the road, but they now are allowed a booth inside the gate and will bring your cart to you. Once off the ship the exit is hard to find. Make a hard left turn and go over the wooden foot bridge adjacent to the Dolphin pen. Continue into and thru an allyway to the Exit. The Mayahaul Booth is in the parking lot. Look them up on Face book and make a reservation . Carts starting at $60 for the day. Enjoy seeing the whole town !

Do they test you onboard for the return to port at the end of the cruise?

'No lunch in main dining room on port days'.,,, does that include Ocean Cay?

When the Cruise industry spurns federal over site and self regulates, will they resume dumping in the ocean. Will they go back to burning the Heavy fuels. Ignoring just these 2 regulations would save them millions.

UPDATE; Virgin customer service replied in 20 min. Then it took half a dozen back and forth e mails over the next day, but they got it fixed! Thank You Virgin!

While checking in for our Sept. Virgin Voyage, mine went smoothly but my wife has been asked for a visa (Not required for Costa Maya) or a green card ( we are both US citizens). I have contacted Virgin customer service, and await their help.

We are booked on the Harmony of the Seas January, 2022...we will cancel if masks are required....Have completed the Moderna vaccine.....Life needs to return to normal....enough.
We also completed the Moderna vaccine, but remember with a few exceptions, only us people over 65 have been vaccinated . Over 100 other countries have ZERO vaccines. The whole world is in this together. We are still a ways from a return to normal.

It's interesting how people's attitudes land. In the UK there are very few situations where you're indoors or in close proximity with others outside of your home where mask wearing isn't the norm, and for most it's just not an issue. I'd rather be wearing a mask on a cruise than be wearing one in the supermarket, and I'd rather have a holiday than not.
It's also fascinating to me that this year there have been hardly any cases of flu or colds, likely down to a combination of social distancing and mask use. It's a very small thing we can all do some of the time to make a big difference to anyone, but the overwhelming majority on here say they won't. Compare that to the response to the knowledge a short while ago that there were private nude cruises where people sit on towels and everything is cleaned afterwards, and the outrage from quite a number about the hygiene implications of that.
Not having a go, it just strikes me as ironic.
We have been on those cruises. The Big Nude Boat!

What would be the verdict if the baby was put up to the window by a stranger. Just someone who picked up the baby because she was cute.
Also many older ships don't have windows on the Lido, just open railing.

When I get a "Petty" bill like that, I over pay by 1 dollar, and wait for the refund.

Our Viking Danube Waltz was canceled for March 2020, and again March 2021. And now our original payment, which was refundable, is a FCC which is not. The first time they gave me 125% to cover the yearly increase, now with another yearly increase for 2022 , do I get another 125% of the 2021 cruise, or , only 125% of the original payment for 2020, which won't cover 2022.

We are in the same boat with Viking River . Our cruise was canceled last March and again March 2021. Now we are stuck with a FCC, no refund available. We let them hold our money all year and now we are in a worst position then those who cashed out! Visa only goes back 60 days. Im stuck paying more because 125% FCC doesn't cover the new cost.
