  1. Back to Phuket. It was a beautiful day for a high speed beach get away to Kahung Beach from Patong.

The air and water temperature were perfect as was the food and lounge chairs.  Plenty of chairs but one could opt to sit under an umbrella with table and  chairs right on the beach was only approximately $8.00 for the whole day.

Watched a hornbill feeding its young.

Only one thing just a jellyfish sting which was quickly resolved by the guides vinegar remedy.

    An excellent beach getaway.

I’ve just been told by someone who shall go unnamed but is in the know and whose first initial is “O” that there is going to be a special fancy dinner in the Restaurant tomorrow. Just checked the app and it doesn’t show a menu but says “Naming Ceremony”. I was told Manfredi’s and Chef’s Table will be closed so that they have enough staff.

We have also found out a special fancy dinner will be on the Neptune on the 30th. Interesting.

    Neptune World Cruisers

Our niece is meeting us in London for her long delayed (damn covid) high school graduation present (she graduates from college on May 4th) and we plan on going to Greenwich at some point. If any of you have interest in having a pub lunch in Greenwich in your first day there, let me know and that’s when we will plan on being there 🍺🍺🍺

We are interested and may take you up on the pub lunch, we are going to check our booked  Greenwich excursions and get back to you. This could be a very good time after the cruise and before the homeward flight to meet up, review the highlights over a  brew or two. 🍻🍺🍺

    Cheers

Where is everyone??  Ok, I have to report that Lois and I are departing Neptune in Singapore.  All things considered it works best for us.  Viking has been very generous with forward cruise credits and with rearranging air.  If we hadn't just had a fabulous land tour in Africa last summer we would be going for the ones Viking worked out.  Anyway, loved meeting so many of my Cruise Critic pals and now it is up to BobCatter, Wavetripper and everyone else who has participated in this WC thread.  I look forward to keeping up with the rest of the cruise.

Jim and Lois, we have so enjoyed getting to know you, especially through the CC years and now in person. We wish you both a safe journey home. May our travel plans cross again soon.

Hey, if you are gone who is going to keep Clay in check.😃

    Cheers and Safe Journey 🍻🥂

First day in Sydney was full and fun.  Walkabout on the Rocks and met Mr. and Mrs Wavetripper at the Fortune of War for lunch.  Ambled on to the Glenmore for a few more pints but like most pub crawls you might intend to hit 4 or 5 but after a couple of good pints the ambition modifies....🍺  After a cleanup on the ship went to a cabaret style show at the Sydney Opera house.  Ok show but the walk over, while not that long, was a madhouse of people.  Circular Quay area is extremely popular and it was a pleasant Saturday night.  A great day in a fantastic port.  Today we are relocated to the rather desolate (as far as things to do) White Bay.  We have an hourly shuttle boat to the King's Wharf area so we are off to see some new stuff.😎

Meeting and walkabout was excellent, the stops have lots of character and pints even better,  but as we were part of the penguins parade you definitely have the better pictures. Ha

    Until next pub crawl.

    Cheers 🍻
