Hello Sky, according to Cruise Mapper if I am reading this right we are some 50 to 60 miles away from each other at this point  from waving hello from each others starboard and port windows. Not sure if this is as close as we will get but, Hello from Neptune. Hoping your sailing is smooth.

Even this guy would like the skinny on where we are headed.

Tauranga has turned out beautifully and we haven't even sailed out yet.

Yesterday, independently toured from Devonport Takarunga Mount Victoria. Views of Rangitoto Island, Summit Battery, Auckland, and a big NUG oh GUN.

Yes Le Truck excursion was really good. We enjoyed it.

Was amazed to see how many resorts had  closed and were in disrepair. But many still remain and are flourishing. We helped where we could, the wallet is a little lighter now, easier to ride the tender back, ha.

Hey UWDawg, we searched high and low and didn't come up with it. We were the third truck of 6 today. 

Hopefully someone comes up with the lens and we will advise if we hear of anything and put you in touch. 

There was also the Wind Spirit in port today.

How do you feel about eggplant, I think it was in every dish last WC.😵‍💫 

So far haven't seen a whale personally but lots of brown and red footed Boobies abound. 

Query as to who is the Skys Wildlife Lecturer is? Last year on Neptune we had Robin Petch aka the whaleman, he was excellent. Is he on the Sky? He is not Neptune this time.

On the 22/23 WC this excursion was not offered as I recall and my original excursion list. We had not done this on our own but maybe someone else had.

As you have pointed out the Vela being wider and longer with more pax onboard with added staterooms 

Just compared cabin sizing on the web site, the staterooms sizing between VO Ships have also grown with the new Vela.

I believe a new feature of the Neptune, is port and starboard pool windows open to allow for better airflow and come down half way. As a further note the stateroom curtains are  manual non powered like the Sun was. I stand to be corrected if the open windows were added on previous ships.
