  1. Just spent 8 days on the Liberty and thought the menu selection was pretty good. There was always something that sounded good and never ordered anything I didn't like. Felt the American table was just ad good as the old menu.

  2. You will spend the first day at least walking around in amazement. Try to slow down just a bit. You can see it all in a week. Also after a few days you may have to tell yourself to slow down on the food. We had to learn you don't have to eat every time you see food. The first couple days we did. The amount of food available can be overwhelming. Cruising is our favorite way to vacation now. Leaving in a couple weeks on our 8th.

  3. The pride in our opinion has been the best overall of the ones we have been on. Least crowded. Easiest to find your way around. Both our trips were before the recent upgrades. Will be interested to see what the changes have done. Our plan is probably to cruise her again fall of 2015.

  4. We live less than two hours away so . Have cruised from here twice and will again when the pride returns. It is a very easy process here and we get to the port around 11:00 - 11:30. Thru check in and ready to board in less than 30 minutes. Then you may have to sit and wait to board if they arrived late. Does seem to happen regularly. Both times we were on before 1:00 though. The pride is our favorite.

  5. When you get off the ship the beach is right there. The port area consists of a large area of shops and a margaritaville with a huge pool. The pool is free and you can order food and drinks. They are high priced but good. We spend time at the beach and at the pool. Some of the shops were pretty nice. We will be back there in January.

  6. we were there in august and took the tour on the open air bus. it was kind of hot, but so much fun. would do it again, we went to the rock formations, the California lighthouse and drove thru some of the housing areas as well as down thru the hotels and along the beach, was about a three hour tour and then let us off at the beach if you wanted and came back in a couple hours to pick up. great island an going back in January.

  7. and she is a beautiful ship. we had a great time on the 8 day southern cruise. that said, not our favorite and most likely not to cruise on again. the layout was broken up and it was like there were too many additions in a limited space. anyone booked will have a great time as we did. we came home and booked the liberty for January for the same southern itinerary. loved going out of port Canaveral.

  8. we were on the cruise last week and had a great time, but thought the ship did not have enough space for number of passengers. also seemed to be chopped up. layout just did not make sense. fun was had by all and food and service were wonderful but we would probably not go on this ship again. we have been spoiled as well by two cruises on the pride and the spirit class is our favorite.

  9. last night booked two balconies for 8 day southern caribbean on the sunshine in august. $419 total per room. the day before these same rooms were $2150 each. had been watching them for the last few weeks in anticipation of booking. got an email around noon and booked about 6 last night. our pvp said there were only 6 balconies on that cruise available at that time for this deal, and i took two of them. first time we ever got any offer like this and my wife and i each got it.

  10. LOVE IT!

Sailed Miracle twice and really wanted to sail the other three. And then Carnival moved Spirit and now Legend.

Just changed my May trip from Fantasy to Pride.

The layout is So Much Better. Much better flow. Much better space ratio.

My HAL cruise was great, partly because Zaandam reminded me of a smaller Spirit-class ship.

Weren't these originally meant for one of CCL's other lines and Carnival took them because they needed them then?

They're Panamax ships - the largest that could be built and still traverse the Panama Canal. They're longer and narrower than Carnival's typical Big Floating ShoeBox designs.

I did think there was considerable side-to-side movement on Miracle the first time (my first balcony, cabin 7192). Had my only other balcony to date on our 2nd Miracle cruise, aft cabin 4230 (just before they redid the cabin categories, so I got it at the cheapest balcony rate at the time).

I cannot wait to sail Pride!!! :D

We sailed Fantasy 3 years ago and the last 2 years on Pride. planning for another cruise later this year and just can't help looking at sailing the Pride for a 3rd time. it is close to us, and we really enjoyed the ship layout and activities. just wish we could get a little change up in itineraries.

  11. Just remember that the weather here in the mid-atlantic can be fickle. We had a Halloween blizzard in 2011!

we live just south of DC. think we had the same blizzard. been crazy weather here this summer too. just saw on the weather tonite we have not had 2 90 degree days together in 4 weeks. not normal for this area. and twice the normal rainfall.

  12. I have a question similar to secac's #4 question. We are cruising on the Pride on Oct 20. What kind of clothing do we need leaving Baltimore, and what's the weather like in Florida?

last year in november we wore jeans and sweatshirts first day out, and were comfortable out on deck. second day we were sunning outside on an upper deck. spent the day in florida on the beach and it was well into the 80s. Bahamas weather was mid 80s as well. we had such a good time then that we are going again. same week as you this year.

  13. we had one of these on the Pride in November and looking to book same category on the Legend this fall. the room is laid out exactly like a balcony room and is the same size. doors open for fresh air but no balcony. for the price they are nice if a balcony is not important to you.

weather was terrible on our cruise and would have not used the balcony very much so the extra room for nearly an inside price was nice.

the pride was our favorite as for layout and ease to find your way around.
