As intrusive and unnecessary as it sometimes feels, I too would hope they go back to the gathering near the lifeboats and full drill with life jackets. Royal to me always seem to do the best job at this.

Everybody realizes these do not have balconies!? Okay... For a suite price I'd like fresh air and ocean sounds in my cabin.
I'd love an SG (deck 12 with balcony), but too much $$. We booked an SE on Star to Bermuda.

Omg! You need your own website!
Congrats, amazing work!

Any pictures of front suites directly below the bridge?

Very odd and bad experience!
I bought an expensive diamond ring from Diamonds Int'l in St. Thomas on last cruise. Port shopping guide guy was in store and offered to pick up the ring after resizing and give it to me on the ship, so I did not have to wait. Everyone was great and he had lots of ladies picking up Jewerly back on board.
I'm sorry for your experience. Pay $75 and enjoy the ring.

Did you search ripoff report website? Nothing in this world is free.

Anyone have any comments on 1278 (GS) on the Adventure of the Seas?? Never thought about all this!
we booked 1268 GS for December this year on explorer [sister ship?] and I searched the boards to find one person who stayed in that room before. she said it was very quiet, that's why I took it. she also posted amazing pictures of the room.. overall, big thanks to her. The cabin is under the solarium bar.
Out of all our cruises, only one cabin was a huge problem with noise. It was on an NCL ship and we were next to a handicapped room. The layout is different in those rooms on NCL vs regular rooms. We could hear their TV all day and night, it was awful and extremely loud. We complained non-stop without any help whatsoever. I would never EVER book a cabin next to handicapped room again in my life. I generally look for same-type cabins around the room I'm booking, and no connecting doors.

A Toast to OP for his incredibly funny and insightful review... and of course, a toast to the resourceful fuse carrier! ;)

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, first generation ships.
Viking Serenade is crazy looking! I'm relatively young (cruiser) and i've never seen a ship look this boxy.. wow. anybody has more info? when built, when retired?

we cruised on empress twice - both times on 9th floor in JR suite cabins. they're about 190sq feet and about the size of a balcony cabin on voyager class ships. empress is a small ship and ONLY balcony cabins are on 9th floor and they sell out fast.
Get to the Cruise the day before - Part 1
