  1. I’m going on MSC Bellissima on a 7 day from Barcelona oct 3. Did my first cruise last summer with my family on RCCL Symphony, and cant wait to go solo on the new Bellissima😁

I have also booked a cruise for easter next year on Costa Smeralda out of Marseille, new ship as well.

Hav e done quite a bit of travel on my own, but this will be my first solo cruises.

    Cheers from Norway

Other than NCL, does any other cruise line offer solo cabins?

I’m going on MSC Bellissima in october, staying in an interior singles cabin. Looks very small but cheaper than a normal cabin, so for me it’s a good deal as I dont spend much time in the cabin other than sleeping.

  3. Can anyone tell me if the big ships of MSC (meraviglia, Seaside etc) have texas holdem tables?

On Symphony there were 2 tables for regular texas holdem play, and hoping to be able to play on Bellissima.

  4. No changes on the Norwegian site yet.

I understand why some of you see this as a matter of principle and getting upset about it.

But for me I just couldnt care less. I see it as part of the total price and just can’t be bothered to find out if it is legal or not. Life is to short to worry about DSC😛

The price difference between the packages Brindiamo and Più gusto is about that if you book them individually: it is 3 € per person and night. So it is no big difference anyway, not about twice the price as the top package for famous brands e.g.

Ok, I didnt know. About the price of a cup of coffe per night then😂

I first got the Pio Gusto when I first called to hold a booking, and second call I asked the price for upgrade to Itenditore and it was about 10€ per night I think.

I got a normal inside cabin(going solo) with the top drink package at Smeralda for about the same price as an inside solo cabin without any package on msc Bellissima. Think it was a good deal.

  6. I understand your issue here. Went with my family on Symphony last summer, and I was the only one out of 12 with a drink package(had a cabin on my own). I do understand the company side of it also. Hard to control if people respect the rules.

On Symphony I had deluxe+ and only paid what was over 13$ + gratuity.

But think it sounds strange if you can have the package under Pio Gusto and only pay 2-3$ the times you want a coctail. Guess noone would bother to upgrade then

  7. I have booked my first cruise with costa for easter next year, and upgraded to the itenditore package.

For me it is an easy choice as I want to order whatever whenever, and enjoy the best the ship has to offer. I also think the price is reasonably.

And the fact that I also get the mini bar included is very nice.

Looking forward to experience the new Smeralda, but first MSC Bellisima this october. Will be interesting to try both and compare.

  8. The Intenditore beverage package must be booked by all guests with the same booking number and/or travelling in the same cabin.

this is what it say on my booking from yesterday. It say nothing that others you travel with need the same package unless you have the same booking number. It is my first time with Costa so dont know other than what it say on their web page

  9. Found an attachment to the first e-mail as I looked at it now(got a second mail with the right booking and the attachment wasnt in that mail)

My booking say comfort advanced, and the 25% penalty is on basic so hoping I go under the 50€-rule.

Will talk to them tomorrow and confirm my booking if what I think is right.

Thought I’d post it in case anyone else is interested😊

  10. Thank you for answer tenpin.

I will ask for information when I call back to confirm te booking. They are holding it for a week for me to decide.

It’s a easter-cruise and one of few times during the year I have time for cruise. Feel like I got a good price as I travel alone and think I will just book it if the cancellation-rules is what you say.

  11. Hi!

I’m looking at a cruise with the new Costa Smeralda april 2020, and was told that the deposit is 25%.(talked to agent at Costa today)

my question is how much will it cost me if i choose to cancel more than 90 days prior to departure?

Have been trying to find some information, but am seeing different answers.

    Cheers

I am a little confused about this. I booked Fantastica on Divina for May 18th. 2019

"The 12-drink voucher package will be included with the Fantastica Experience for cruises until the last Winter sailing, which will vary by ship."

If last winter booking means March 2019, I am going to cancel.

You cancel a cruise for 12 free drinks you might not get?

One more quick question - if there is a large interior handicap room, which they seem to be larger than the rest, would it be wrong to take it just for the size? They seem to be wider rooms, larger bathrooms?

Off course it would be wrong. I dont’t know if it’s even possible to book them if you dont need it, but ethically and morally it’s just very wrong if you ask me.

We stayed at the H10 Montcada

    https://www.h10hotels.com/es/hoteles-barcelona/h10-montcada

Good location and easy to get around with plenty of Taxis, be aware that many Barcelona hotels are noisy because of the proximity of the metro lines, we would happily stay again, you will get a 5 or 10% discount as an H10 member

I have booked this hotel for my overnight stay in oct. Looks nice, and I love the rooftop bar with a nice view and also it was reasonable priced.

Glad to hear you were satisfied with the hotel👍

  15. PSmarkle-  I have only sailed once, this summer on Symphony, and i was very happy they had two texas holdem tables, as this is the only thing I like to play in the casino, and I also find it a good way to be social and meet other cruisers. Do you know if there are any texas holdem on msc?  Booked on Bellissima next year, so if anyone have experience from Meraviglia that would be nice also, as I guess the casinos will be similar to Bellissima
