Clay,
How do we find the quarantine updates. I searched for your thread and could not find it. This is a real bummer for all onboard.
Will you be able to dock at your next scheduled port or will you just be drifting in circles like airplanes dumping fuel or waiting to land. In other words, what happens now?

For those making their own flight arrangements, are we to meet directly at the ship or are we to meet at the concert hall? I couldn't find it in any of my Viking literature.

Did anyone on either the first or this second cruise arrange their own flights and not use Viking transport? (We had a last minute change so didn't make it under the 30 day limit). If so, how did you do it? Flybus? Taxi?

The muster stations on these ships are on the 2nd deck: the theater and the restaurant. That video was shot off the bow on the 7th deck (Explorer's Lounge)! According to direct quotes on The Points Guy (https://thepointsguy.com/guides/what-to-do-if-you-find-yourself-on-a-wildly-tilting-cruise-ship/), Ms. Sheppard stated, “I’m a yachtswoman, so I needed to see it up close and in person,” explaining why she positioned herself on the 7th floor forward!

Viking and New Zealand

I'm fascinated that Viking was notified of the biofouling issue on 12/15/22 but did NOT notify the 830 of us who got onboard on 12/22 as we were the "sacrificial lamb" so that the cruise before us could stay on itinerary and the one after us as well.
The other amazing thing is word of this barely reached US media (a few articles, no follow up). It makes me feel that Viking's public relations department has learned how to hush stories better than most royal families!
Still feeling bitter about the loss of 3 weeks vacation and lost money over flight that took me to the other side of the world only to bob about on the sea. Maybe I'll feel better in time...
