Any ideas on how much a taxi cost would be to the downtown area from the airport? Also to the port? Not sure if I want to use Princess Hotels or book one myself. If I use Princess, they provide transportation.

I am THRILLED that you saw this, beannie!! I hung over the edge of your balcony many times, taking sunrise pictures & canal lock pictures! And yes, I met the nice people in there! If I had a clue how, I'd post a pic of it... I'll try. Darn it, I have a couple great shots, but I guess they're too big to post, I get "upload errors"...I'd be glad to email it to you!

socaljo, I am the poster who asked about D726. You have no idea how relieved I am that the balcony is covered. Thank you so much for remembering and for posting about it. You may have saved a marriage:eek::eek:

After further conversations with a Princess call center rep, and then my TA, we were able to switch the FCD. It was doable because the FCD was purchased before either of the two cruises were booked. So this time it worked out.

Well, I'm confused. We booked a 10 day cruise and used our FCD on it. Then we booked a 11 day cruise. Can we have our TA switch the FCD to the longer cruise(more obc)??

Had my TA call princess. She reports back that it is a half covering. At this point, I will keep looking for another cabin. All minis are sold at this point, so hoping I luck out on a cancellation.

I did a check on the site, and they aren't up to date on the Island.

We're booked in D724 this March, my info is that you are the ONE uncovered in the aft. Ours next door is covered. Funny, we always do a dolphin deck mini, cuz I love the open balcony, but the Island is not typical. I usually am on the balcony most of the cruise...DH is looking forward to enjoying more time on our covered one this time...I'll be located in a padded chair on a deck somewhere this time! Our PR also was certain ours was uncovered. Here on CC I read about a site with real info, check it out cruise deck plans dot com. When are you going? Are we neighbors??

We are going in September, Panama full transit.

I see Keith has posted another picture. I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed at this pint.

Thanks for the info. I was just on the phone with Princess, and IF they can be believed, they say it is covered. I'm really very leary now.

I did look for pics on here, but was unable to come up with anything recent. That being said, looks like the changes they are going to make are in May.

We have D726 booked for a Panama cruise. In further checking I'm really confused. Looks like they had a dry dock and redid some cabins. Is it still uncovered? Help...husband is gonna kill me if it is.

Bora Bora and he has his own motu. We went swimming with the sting rays and lemon sharks and then to lunch, which was awesome, on his motu. Highly recommend him.

We were on the October 15 cruise. Best ever! Would love to go again, so will keep an eye or two open. And on another subject, my eyes are open wide on Patrick's gorgeous body. He was great! Whoever does end up going, you really have to take Patrick's tour. If only to see the tattoos.

The Caribbean would by our choice in a heartbeat! If possible, try to take a 7 day cruise.

I have some pictures of that suite taken in 2009 if you want them. It is the best suite we have ever had. The balcony is to die for.

Any pics of the Grand aft C750? Really appreciate it.

We are checking in at the Crowne Plaza, San Pedro this Saturday January 8. Last time we stayed there we flew in, but this time around we're driving. I called them yesterday to ask the same question and was told that parking is not included while you're on the cruise unless you booked the cruise package. If you didn't, parking is only included for the night(s) you are actually staying at the hotel.

 

We paid $65 + taxes on Priceline as well.

I have one question if anybody has an answer. They say they have parking, but don't know if that's included in the hotel price or not. Anyone know?
