Thanks everyone! My pillow is one of the squishable ones (zipperhead pillow). It's all these little chopped up foam pieces that I can mush around. I have a Chiari malformation and being able to get my pillow just right is a huge help. I'll make sure to pack it just in case. Luckily, I can smush most of the air out of it and roll it.

If your ship has a slide, no matter how young or how old (dignified, mature, etc.) you think you are, if you are physically able, go down it at least once. There's a reason kids coming off the slide have such a big smile on their faces...go get yourself one of those big smiles! :D
Just reading this made me laugh. I just showed my mother the port webcam of one of the Carnival ships leaving and she got all excited. "Is that a slide?!! Is there one on our ship?"

I have neck/head issues. I need a specific type of pillow. Some places have them, some don't. What are the pillows on the ships like? Solid foam? Smushable/movable foam? Just wondering if I need to make sure I have room in my suitcase for my pillow if I need it. Thanks!

Thank you for the review! We're cruising on the Glory in November and as a first time cruiser, this was very helpful!
Money question...

I'm going on my first cruise in November. I've seen people say to bring extra cash because atm fees are outrageous. But... What do I do for money in ports? Not like at the touristy gift shops and all; I know they'll take my card. But what about little local vendors? Do I need to exchange somewhere for local currency?
Thanks for a the help so far!!!
