@em-sk You are correct! My departing flight was originally on AA but changed to BA. My returning flight is still the same, direct on Iberia.

@SelectSys You are right! I forgot to mention it in my earlier post. My flight will now be on BA instead of AA. Assuming the BA flight arrives on time in LHR, will a 1 hour 40 minute layover be enough time to go through security screening in LHR? This will be my first ever time in Europe if that makes a difference. To everyone else who is interested: I will be flying to Amsterdam. My cruise starts in Rotterdam and ends in Barcelona. I will be returning from Barcelona. This is the first time I used Iberia and I was really hesitant about it. I researched Iberia and found that they partnered with other airlines like AA which I have flown many times. Also, they had positive reviews on the web. The clincher was the cost on Iberia. It cost about 50% less than booking directly with their partner airlines. I think so far so good. I had a short layover problem with my original flight. They changed it after a long phone call and some persistent back and forth. Disclaimer -- I am not endorsing Iberia and not advertising for them. I just want to put it out here to help anyone who may be in a similar situation. I do want to say "thank you!" to everyone who helped me!

Thank you to everyone who commented! I appreciate you all taking time to comment. I got a call back from AA (after 12 plus hours) who said they couldn't help me and I had to talk to Iberia. I made the reservation on the Iberia website. AA had a direct connect to Iberia so there wasn't much of a wait. It was a real pain to deal with Iberia. I was on the phone for 54 minutes. First the agent tried to charge a change fee. Then the agent tried to convince me that my flight had not changed. In the end, I got a new flight, no charge. My connection is now in London Heathrow Airport with a 1 hour 40 minutes layover. I feel much more comfortable with the new flight. Thank you everyone!

My question is really not cruise related so I hoped I don't get in trouble for posting this. I planned get to Amsterdam 3 days before my cruise starts. I booked my flight with 1 connection in DFW. The connection was supposed to be a 90 minutes stopover in DFW. Now, it's been changed to a 34 minutes stopover. I'm really worried I won't make the connection in DFW. I booked the flights through Iberia Air which partners with American Air. I tried calling American Air. I had no luck as the wait time is over "8 hours" to talk to an agent. Also I booked a non-refundable flight. Should I be worried? Please no negative comments. I'm worried enough. Thank you!

I already tried searching the forum for an answer and didn't find one. So I apologize if this is a stupid question. This is my first time using a PCC. When I initially booked the cruise, the PCC stated I should call him back with the final payment. My question is should I call my PCC and give him my credit card info again or should I make final payment on the HAL website. I don't like giving out my credit card info over the phone but I will reluctantly do so if I have to. If I make final payment on the HAL website, what does it matter to my PCC? Will my PCC lose some credits or brownie points? TIA.

Thank you to everyone who posted on how to get the Shareholder OBC. I requested mine via email and got a confirmation from them that they have successfully applied the OBC to my cruise. Now, where in my HAL account or cruise itinerary do I find the money?

My cruise is April 2024 and final payment is not due yet. I booked my flights already with my PCC. I'm having second thoughts about using FE, especially since I did it without thinking. I checked the flight prices and it cost about $150 less if I book directly with the airlines. Can I cancel FE without penalty and without affecting the cost of my cruise? Also, can I cancel directly using the Holland website or do I need to call my PCC? What do you all think -- cancel or keep FE? TIA!

I too was on the same cruise. I had reservations for at Michelangelo for 5 pm every night. I never had to wait. On the second night, I asked the maître d’ if I could have the same table every night which was granted. Thereafter on the following nights, our group of two just check in and show ourselves to our table; no wait at all. This was just for evening dining. Lunch dining on sea days was at Da Vinci with no reservations. There was always a line but the wait was never more than 5 minutes or so. Most evenings I pass by Da Vinci on my way to Michelangelo. I noticed the line at Michelangelo was much shorter than Da Vinci. For some reason, the line at Da Vinci was always long -- sometimes stretching out to the Piazza. On another note, we missed the port at Fuerte Amador due to rioting in the area. We did stop nearby in the middle of the ocean for refueling but we did not dock at Fuerte Amador. We got back some port fees. As "compensation", they did throw a "party" on Lido where you can get some free alcohol and canapes. In my opinion, they might as well have done nothing. I don't drink alcohol and I don't like canapes. Some free FCC would have been much better!

Yes, charge people for more than 2 entrees in the MDR! I was once seated next to a couple that had ordered 2 of every entrees on the menu. That couple must have noticed our wide-eye glance at them because he exclaimed "I can eat". Yes, you can eat but should you eat that much.

My brokerage statement shows a lot of information that I really don't want to share. The Carnival stock entry appears on the second page of my statement. Other than the account number, can I black out all the other stock entries and balances?
