First of all, If I understand the question I would have to ask a question. Which Sailing. This weekend's sailing has been cancelled. It is the one that will be affected by the storm. If that is the case then then there is no problem because no one is leaving. The storm will be over by the next cruise unless the port is not opened. Then you have to deal with that.

When they reschedule the eastern cruises, I hope they use some creativity. I chose this cruise because I wanted to get back to St. Martins. I understand that is not possible and I am ok with that. I am with Morgsmom. I have been and don't really care for the western ports. I can go to Mexico on West Coast cruises. Grand Cayman is the worse port I have even been in. I would like to see them go south. Trinidad and Tobago or Grenada or Caracole (sp) As some have suggest maybe they would go to another port, maybe Jacksonville, and go to Bermuda.

Can i get the 5% discount on this cruise (already booked)?
They will adjust it for you if you do not have any other discounts. I get a military discount therefore I do not get the 5%.

Do we really need to abide by that time? Mine says 15:10. I'm used to getting to the port by 11:00 and we ge on the ship early and start enjoying my vacation before the masses get on board.
Thanks,
Ron
I checked on our roll call. It seems everyone has 15:10. I appreciate the help from everyone.

I get deathly sick whenever I enter the cabin and see those dastardly papers. They could at least wait until the last minute. I have put off a lot of things until the last minute. I am a perfectionist and is perfectly ok to wait until midnight of the last night.
Anyhow, the OP for a wonderful and light post. Peace and Aloha.

I think I want Capt. Nash. Especially on cruises to Grand Cayman. I like it better to be cautious and out to see that in that port. St Thomas as well. I want a cautious Master to keep me out of shady ports.

I will be taking my Tux as well. We love to dress. But we are also planning for the theme nights.

We got out of our van from FLL, walked over to the porters, left our bags with them, and we got them later that night before dinner, so before 6PM. So yes, I gave mine to the porters and my luggage made it onboard the ship just fine.
Thanks, That is no different that other lines. MSC communications seem to lack. I think they need new technical writers to write their material. It seems they just have some executive in Italy writing their stuff who do not understand context and syntax in US English. It a bit awkward in the least. Thanks so much for answering my questions and I happy you had a wonderful cruise. Peace and Aloha, Jim

You will get your cruise card when you check in at the desk to board, which was been the same for all of my cruises. If you are talking about your documents, then you will get those about a week before to print out. Like your luggage tags, boarding pass, etc.
Thanks. The question was about check in not docs. Someone was saying you checked in your bags, went through security and then as you entered the ship you received your card which did not make sense.
This brings up another question. Do the porters take your luggage. The docs say you will put them in a luggage bay then go through security. Will porters take your luggage at this luggage bay as opposed to when you get out of your transportation.

Thanks, I found it. Peace and Aloha. JIm

I look forward to the opera shows. I know most are in Italian. I have seen Carmen which is one of the few sung in French. Do they have the board above the stage translating the language as they do in the Opera Houses.

We cruise most of the time in October and July. In 17 cruises we have never had a problem.

Can anyone tell me where to find the time you are suppose to show up to embark? When I read the instructions that were sent it said the time would be on the tickets, however I cannot find it. Does anyone know the location?
-
How was check in. There is a difference in what people have said and what my docs say. Some say we don't get the cruise card until we check in. Docks say there is a check in desk before we board.

So glad to hear that you had a great time. We are on the Divina, leaving 9/30 and so looking forward to it. We have heard that there are 2 formal nights, can you confirm and also which nights were they? Your favorite bar? Favorite pool? We are on the Eastern route so we only have Nassau in common. Did you do anything in Nassau, if so what? We are thinking of just going to Junkanoo beach. Thanks for your help.
Same as what Ross said above. Sign up for the M&M. We look forward to seeing you on the cruise. Peace and Aloha.

again vapes are scentless so NO IT DOESN'T BOTHER YOU because you cannot smell it and are you really comparing me to a pedophile because I enjoy vaping? it is trolls like you that i felt i had to put a disclaimer up in the first place.
That is not true. It depends on what is put into vapor.
No body compared you to a pedophile.
It pretty simple, if you don't want criticism don't post it on here. Not judging you or what you do, just the facts.

Wow. No way. Thunderbird and MD 20/20 are not the same fine wine. Very different. Thunderbird is a single flavor whereas Mad Dog comes in a variety of flavors. I can see your "fine wine" education is lacking. Back in the day it was, "What's the word? Thunderbird! What's the price? Fifty twice!" I notice you didn't even mention Gallo White Port. There was an old song that said, "White Port and Lemon Juice. Sure tastes good to me!"
So many horrid fortified wines. <shudder>
We all know that the people who drink wine wither MD or Thunderbird were pretentious snobs. Give me an Old Milwaukee or PBR any time. :D

Platinum/Elite are hit and miss. Most of the time it is just cheese and crackers and vegies as other have said. I think it has to do that on some cruises it has not been very well attended. I have been there when ,may 10 people showed up. I have also been to some where maybe 100 people were there, but that is the exception.

It is confusing and I would call MSC. But my reading is that as long as you book the room under your name, you should be ok. This is for US departures. But it seems that they do not have to have and adult in the same cabin if they are over 18, If under 18 a person needs to be with an adult over 21. I would call MSC and get a better reading because it is confusing. Peace in your planning.

Nice to hear. We are looking forward to ours at the end of the month,

1. Gratuity is not included, but port charges should be if you have paid for it. I would check on the phone through customer service. Most of us have had problems with the web site.
3. Excursions can be looked at on the web site. To get prices I think you have to sign into your account with name and booking number. Then on the left this is a listing that said excursions.

Try this cruise critic thread. This person has info and most pictures of every Divina Cabin. Also have to tried to google and see pics on you tube.

There is not an official mini golf set up like you may see on other ships but there was an unhosted mini golf hole by the main pool. Think of it as a hole in one kind of thing. Not exciting.
Thanks.
