  1. Imho a muster drill is absolutely necessary on any cruise ship. It brings you some routine for the case, that hopefully never will happen. And noone should say, that they have it done sooooo many times, that they don't need it. 🤐

Studies had shown, that even experienced flyers in a real emergency, forget how to open their seat buckle on a flight.😲

On the other side Color Line "cruises" has its drill only virtuell on the TV screen in your stateroom, when entering. I believe, that even though this "cruise" from Kiel to Oslo takes 20 hours oneway, it is only a ferryboat. Are there different regulations?😳🤔

By the way, for those who are interested in: Color Magic and Color Fantasy have a lot similarities with the Voyager Class. Not only the dockyard (Aker Finyards) but a club, that looks like a Viking crown and a promenade witch is a Royal Promenade, but only one deck lower..😍... I should consider to make a trip to Oslo and back, just for having seen any water in 2020....😉

    Stay safe and healthy!

They could have several muster drills.  Just assign a time and note it on the card.  Hey,🙂 they might even be able to do them inside; perhaps in the theater with spaced seating and no one would need to stand outside in the sweltering

..... and if we hit the iceberg, or even the rock in front of Giglio, we go to the airconditioned theater and take our spaced seat to spread times.... 😳 🤪

  4. Hi Wolfcathorse!

Oasis seems to be a little bit difficult.

As LTyler and I wrote, Capt Claus Andersen was Master in mid of September. LTyler wrote for "the last to weeks" on Sept 13th.

I sailed with Capt Claus on the last cruise before dry dock (Sept 15-22) and spoke to him at Captains corner. He said, he will be in charge for the dry dock in Cadiz. I missed to ask, if it means, that he will be on her for the WHOLE time, stupid me!

Of corse, Claus couldn't have been on Oasis since May... Capt Göran might have been on Oasis sometime in between.

    Hope it helps...

    Cheers

  6. The Navigator otS is a wonderful ship, I loved to sail on her and was so glad, when she came back to Europe after her Galvaston-years.... ;p

My favorite places to be are

The helicopter pad (the same on all Voyager/Freedom Class Ships) and

The peek-a-boo bridge to have a look into the bridge and/or a wonderful view over the ocean..... (the Explorer or the Indi doesn't offer this opportunity) :loudcry:

Have a wonderful Cruise and enjoy!

  7. I think it depends a little bit on the region your FireStick was build.

I have a European FireStick, wanted to look European Series, but due to the fact, that the VOOM signal is directed over Miami, Amazon told me, that I am in the wrong region of the world.

I think a VPN tunnel would have solved the problem, but .... :o:confused::eek:

    Greetings!

  8. We started our Transatlantic crossing on Brilliance in April from Tampa.

Planned embarkation was 11.30-15.30 (set sail 17.00).

Two days prior to embarkation we got an email, which postponed our embarkation to 13.00-16.00! (1.00-4.00 pm) Reason for it was the need for "enhanced sanitation".... :o:rolleyes:

The embarkation in the terminal went very smooth and professional. It just took about 15 minutes to get onbord. (y)

    All the best! ;p

  9. In Europe we have a number of countries, witch belong to "Room of Schengen". Roughly the countries of the European Union (but not GB, IRE, on the other Hand Norway for example is part of Schengen....) In this countries there are no border patrol officers, and so, there will be no chances for any stamps... ;). ;)

Once you are in, you are in.
