  1. Wow. I just got done reading all of SailorJack's reviews. Absolutely tremendous. I don't even know what my favorite part was but right up there has to be when he was in the tomb in Egypt and put one hand on the wall in front of him to protect his head while his other hand reached back for SailorJill.

Well done Jack. I may have to read them all again.

LOL - I did the same thing last month!! They are the best... :D

  2. Ok, so I saw this on a board for another cruise line and couldn't find anything similar here.

I'm hoping this thread can be used for posting pictures of aft cabins, balconies and views.

I'd show you my aft, but I have to wait til next year for Serenade 1600....so looking forward to my first aft. Perhaps I should lose a few pounds first though :o...

btw, love this thread, been on CC for years and this is the first I've seen this one!

  3. I read and enjoyed your NOS review on CC...that is how I found the link to your pic's. I hope you don't mind me using the one of your mom on the balcony, but it helped calm some fears re.: OS loungers.

As for 1320, I want it, but I never seem to book far enough in advance to get that one...some day.

We booked a year out but not in 1320/1314 - thanks to the watchful eye of my sister, she caught them available six months after we booked our original OS's. Someone must of cancelled at the last minute...lucky for us!

  4. Regarding loungers...found this photo of OS1320 from March 2012...this looks exactly like the furniture we had on Mariner.

Hey I took that pic! :D That's my mom!! 1320 is on the center hump and it's an amazing balcony!! There was another lounger on the other end.

The sofa bed is very comfy. My 18 yr old had no complaints. And my 2 neices and nephew shared the sofa bed and L-part of the sofa next door in 1314. It's not a typical sofa bed that pulls up and out of the couch, it's more like a futon that just slides out to form the bed.

BTW - the main Queen size bed does NOT come apart. Good thing my Mom is tiny, we had to share!

If you have any other Navigator OS Q's, just let me know!

  5. If all that Mike S. did was "Fountains" he would have been the best, but he was much more than just that.

I also really liked John Blair, his Neil Diamond act was fantastic.

I haven't had any of the big names: Grahm Seymor, Richard Spacey. So I can't compare John and Mike to them.

OMG - "Fountains" was fantastic!!! I especially loved how he hyped it up at every opportunity prior to the performance! Here's a video of it I found on You Tube:

  6. It seems on every cruise I've been on there's always some "characters." On the Brilliance we had what I called the "MuuMuu Patrol." They were three older, heavy set ladies (one in a wheel chair) who wore MuuMuus every day and we saw them everywhere slowly pushing their wheelchair travelmate all over the ship.

Then there were the crazy hat ladies on the Explorer. They would wear a different crazy hat every day and were always a fixture in the Schooner lounge at night.

Then there's my teenage daughter who has taken to wearing a winter wool hat (the kind with the ear flaps and big fluffy ball on top). She now wears it every second of every cruise - she even wore it under her helmet while doing a canopy tour in Jamaica!

And just curious, where do service dogs do their "business" onboard?
