  1. My DW and I each test at least once a week; so far, all results have been negative. We also encourage others to test often, and stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms. As some in our little community have tested positive, church attendance has been lower, but our congregation has also avoided spreading any diseases.
  2. If I am reading this group correctly, they would miss the wine of the day, but I think you would also find others willing to rotate in the 'obligation' so it wouldn't be a burden (I think @JAM37also mentioned the possibility of using a rotation). Please don't feel guilty when life gets in the way. Like we are always reminded when flying; put the oxygen mask on yourself before assisting others.
  3. One of the ladies in our church is a cancer survivor and she acquired a few really nice wigs during her treatment days. Her DH is chided about being with a different woman every time she wears one of the wigs, as each of them come in different colors and lengths and styles. He just smiles and says he likes the woman he is with that day. πŸ˜‰
  4. You can add a few hard returns and then place the photo above or below whatever line you want. That leaves space for comments or just white space. It allows for some flexibility with how you use captions.
  5. We finally found a pop-up blood drive where we can donate blood, so DW and I will be driving to Woodinville Monday. I hope they don't cancel it the last minute like the last couple times we have scheduled to give. Happy Memorial Day!
  6. Laughter and grief are closely wed. When we are on the edges of our emotional spectrum, laughter can be a wonderful release. Thank you for "reading the room" yesterday and serving us with your heart for cheer.
  7. Try using this link: Shore excursions and engaging travel experiences with Holland America Line Then scroll down a little and select the appropriate "Sail To" destination and "Ports of call" destinations. It should provide a description and prices for all of the excursions at those locations. They may not all be available on any individual cruise.
  8. Alfred Hitchcock must have been a gardener.
  9. Here is what I posted for Icy Strait Point on October 31, 2021. Icy Strait Point was a late stop in September. It got dark about 30 minutes after arrival. The rain was heavy the whole time we were there. I took a short walk on the beach trail and up into the woods and then looped back toward the ship. This would be a beautiful place to spend more time during the daylight hours.
  10. I am guessing you get a lot of cloudy days in Grays Harbor. We have a condo in Westport and would like everyone to think that it is always cloudy. I do love that we get more sun breaks in Westport than we do in our other home, Skykomish.
  11. Thanks for the video coverage of a beautiful trip. It looks like you were blessed with some awesome weather. Your son has a good eye for nature.
  12. Blame is not a very useful tool in relationships. Whenever my DW and I are tempted to blame, we have attempted to stay with a system that has worked for us. Since I was born on the 4th, anything that goes wrong on an even day is my fault. My DW was born on the 15th, so anything that goes wrong on an odd calendar day is her fault. πŸ˜‰
  13. We lived in Limerick, ME, for a few years. Here is a Limerick to celebrate that time: A man from Maine, it’s said, was very mixed up in the head:he’d squirt his wifewith butter and spice, and then take a lobster to bed.
  14. Still $250 for 14+ days. Here is the link to the form: 2021 US Annual Report (carnivalcorp.com)
  15. It looks like it rains quite often in Lisbon according to the pictures from @grapau27, @rafinmd, and @kb4683. I think @StLouisCruisers found the best weather in Lisbon. Thanks to all of you for sharing photos and memories.
  16. We got a couple of inches of rain in Skykomish today, just a short distance from your place. My DW and I drove over Steven's Pass, through the falling snow, to the 59er Diner for a lunch on our 45th anniversary. The sun was shining in Leavenworth, but there was still a cool breeze. Temperatures were in the 30's and 40's all day on both sides of the pass. Too wet for a pleasant opening day at the Great Northern and Cascade Railway. Riders all got soaked! 😞
