  1. Have a fabulous cruise!  Truly hope you enjoy the refurbed Silhouette.  We were on the first sailing after she was revolutionized and thought they did a great job ....she instantly became our favourite Celebrity ship.   Agree with talljules1 that the Sunset Bar was beautifully re-done.

Looking forward to reading your review.  ☺️

If they are offering it when boarding, yes, you'll definitely be treated to one on M and S class

Ooops, great point!  Forgot to mention....S Class (Equinox).  I think that was the ship where the Revolution was "interrupted" by the crane accident so not even sure that the suites were updated?

  3. Thank you so much for the replies.  I didn't know if suites had a separate "entry" onto the ship and thus this particular welcoming gesture.   We have two other couples cruising with us (one couple has never cruised before and the other couple has never cruised Celebrity) so I often comment on the "little things" that Celebrity does that mean a lot to us and this is one aspect that I often refer to.   I am going to feel like a total newbie again for my first time in suite class lol.

  4. Totally silly question so my apologies in advance.  We have sailed Celebrity several times and have always enjoyed the glass of sparkling offered once one steps onto the ship....truly enjoy this gesture as to us it feels like a "welcome back home"   😊    We will be booking our first suite and just wondering....do you still receive a glass of sparkling when coming onboard when you are booked in a suite?  I have read different comments about folks being escorted onto the ship and straight to their suites by staff so just curious.  Understanding of course that due to the pandemic things are quite different!

  5. With all of the frustration this quiz has caused (myself included!) they should have simply made it multiple choice like some of the previous quizzes....then issues such as capital letters, all lower case, numeral vs. spelled out number, etc. would not be an issue!

Like others I have received the "you have completed all the sentences, etc." and I know the answers are correct but not sure if Celebrity is acknowledging them as correct!  Sorry if I missed it but has anyone who completed this actually received a definitive note at the end that they have answered correctly and will receive their PUP??

I just got a confirmation email "Thank You for Attending our Live Webinar" that confirms the points. Nice touch.

Thank you for posting this ... prompted me to check my e-mail.  Unfortunately I did not receive this confirmation e-mail even though I did register for/watch the "original" last night.  However I did receive an e-mail inviting me to watch the recently recorded webinar to obtain points lol.   Guess I'm one of the ones who has to wait and wonder for another month to see if I will be awarded the points for watching 😂

I know the MDR on Celebrity had some fairly loose dress rules for dinner.  But, only ate in any of them.

Luminae, even on Chic nights, was pretty casual.  I never dressed like a schlub, but did wear nice jeans for dinner most nights in Luminae.

Always wore shorts for breakfast and lunch.

Don't want to get into a dress code debate.  But, most of the mainstream cruise lines have been moving to more casual dress, even on "dress up nights" for quite a few years, now.

Hahaha....I've no interest in a dress code debate either lol.  Just thought the info from my hubby's experience may have been helpful.

Sadly we have not cruised since February 2020 just before the shutdown and this particular incident was probably about five years ago, so guess I am pretty out of date with some of the evening dress code requirements!!!!  Sorry about that... 😊

    Check list.....

-Pack...WAY TOO EARLY for that (at least for me).  Still deciding if I'm taking long pants.

graphicguy.....we have never sailed in a suite so perhaps the guidelines are different, however I thought that long pants were a "must" for men in the dining room/specialty restaurants in the evening?

Of course this item on your list caught my eye because on one of our cruises my husband forgot to pack long pants for dinner.  Yep, you guessed it.....he was turned away at the MDR and needless to say some of our onboard credit very quickly went to the onboard shop for a pair of pants for him to wear in the MDR, lol.

Have a wonderful time, and I sincerely hope that your girlfriend is able to get the time off work to accompany you this time.

  9. Oh no!!   A good friend of mine is a pharmacist at a Shopper's Drug Mart and I was sure that she told me a couple of weeks ago that her boss (the owner) said that they were going to start testing symptomatic people??  I remember this specifically because my friend was mad about having to test symptomatic folks lol.  But that was a couple of weeks ago so seemingly things have changed.  A long shot but  I wonder if you could call the OPA or the OCP if they would have any information?

  10. Can you book a rapid antigen test at a pharmacy for travel purposes and when it comes back positive submit that to Celebrity for your proof for refund?  It is on official pharmacy letterhead so I would think it would be acceptable.  It's been a few months since I have traveled but that was the process then, however realize that things are likely quite different now.

  11. I recommend obtaining confirmation of purchase.  On our last cruise my sea pass card reflected that I had the classic package despite upgrading several weeks prior to cruising.  Fortunately I had printed a hard copy of the confirmation and once I presented it to Guest Services they immediately provided me with a new sea pass card with the correct package reflected on it.  No searching through their computer records, no trying to find the purchase on my phone/credit statements for proof, etc.

  12. Also forgot to mention another "plus" from your thread Benny.  Aside from the enjoyment of following you live, your pictures and comments had me reflecting on my own Edge sailing back in December of 2018 and reliving some great memories.  Thank you for that!  😊

I may be way off base here, but I wonder if the free cruise that you received had anything to do with this thread?  From the comments and responses on here, you certainly seemed to have impacted some people's decisions who were considering cancelling their cruises as your comments and pics helped to change their minds to go for it!  As well as others noting they will now book on the E Class after following along!  Maybe Celebrity saw these comments??

Looking forward to your next live thread!

This way I get to experience new things and share it with everyone here lol.

And to echo everyone else, thank you so much for sharing!  Your pictures were amazing and cannot tell you how thoroughly engaging your live thread was!  (sorry I cannot seem to view the videos...I'm sure those are equally enjoyable....alas I am technologically illiterate lol).  You have a real gift in your writing style Benny, and your positive attitude was very much appreciated!  😊

  14. ramidon1 .... I don't have an e-mail to provide to you but wanted to share that you are not alone with the missing cruises.  I have also noted that all of our past cruises have disappeared, were suddenly there again one day when I logged on, and then were missing again the next time I logged on and have never been seen again since!  Very frustrating.  I hope this gets straightened out for you.
